The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Item class Damage Recovering

The Maxim Tomato (マキシムトマト, makishimu tomato) is an item that will reduce the damage percent of the person who picks it up. It is often mispronounced as "Maximum Tomato" or "Tomato".

  • In SSB, it subtracts 100% from a character's damage percentage.
  • In SSBM and SSBB, it subtracts 50% from a character's damage percentage.

In SSB, any damage the character takes is ignored while healing, but starting in SSBM, damage taken while healing will be subtracted from the amount healed by the tomato. For example, if an attack does 30% damage, the tomato will "absorb" it into it's 50% recovery, and the user only recovers 20% damage.

Trophy Info (SSBB)

A juicy tomato that heals 50 percentage points of the damage you've accumulated. When one of these appears in combat, rest assured there will be a race to see who can reach it first. It's a race of desperation between players who want to heal their damage and those who want to stop them from doing so. In the Kirby series, Maxim Tomatoes healed all damage.

  • Kirby's Dream Land
  • Kirby Super Star

Origin

The Maxim Tomato is from the Kirby series games. In the Kirby games, the Maxim Tomato restores all of Kirby's health, as opposed to its effects in the Super Smash Bros. games, wherein it only restores 50% of the character's damage (100% in the first game).
