Trivia[edit]

  • Nintendo France supplied the tournament organizers with prizes to be given out for players in the Top 8. These included:
    • A copy of Kirby Air Ride for the Nintendo GameCube and a Game Boy Player for first place;
    • Game Boy Players for second, third, and fourth place;
    • Copies of Kirby Air Ride for fifth and seventh place.
  • While stage legality was rarely an issue in the country at the time, with few to no stages being considered illegal in tournaments, that sentiment would start to fade after SSBMT4, with bossofsmash stalling out Gouba on Yoshi's Island in bracket being credited as the catalyst.[1]
