Kurama, formerly known as Prodigy, is an Ultimate Mario main from Sacramento, California and is considered the best Mario player of all-time, being the definitive best from 2022 to 2023 as during those two years he made significant breakthroughs with the character, which included some of Mario’s best results in competitive Ultimate. Notable examples include a 3rd place finish at the Ludwig Smash Invitational, 2nd place finish at Port Priority 7 and a 4th place finish at Smash Ultimate Summit 6. Additionally, he is also the highest ranking Mario player in Ultimate history, being ranked 11th on the UltRank 2022. He is currently ranked 13th on the LumiRank 2023 North America and 25th on the LumiRank 2023.
In SSB4, Kurama is also a Mario main. He is currently ranked 3rd on the NorCal Smash 4 Power Rankings. He frequently teamed with other Stark in doubles.
On February 12th, 2019, Kurama was signed by Armada. Following the post online metagame, on February 11th, 2022, Kurama would part ways with them. Later that same year, on August 9th, he announced that he had joined Paragon, but would soon part ways with them as well on December 12th 2022. On January 21st, 2023, before his set against BassMage at GENESIS 9, Karmine Corp announced that they had signed up Kurama as their first smasher. Kurama would later announced his departure from Karmine Corp on December 19th, 2023.
Playstyle
Kurama is renowned for his advantage state and punish game, quickly racking up damage or outright killing an opponent after landing a grab or an aerial. He utilizes an aggressive playstyle to constantly apply pressure while looking for openings in the opponent's defense, and to quickly close distance to compensate for Mario's short range.
However, Kurama can sometimes have issues when he either loses the lead, gets walled out for long, fails to confirm a kill, or starts to get greedy for the KO when the opponent’s percentage starts to climb at despicable heights. This results in him being stuck in disadvantage for a considerable amount of time and forces him to think slowly and carefully on how he executes. This is most notable against unfavourable matchups.

- At age 14, Kurama was the youngest player to be ranked on the Spring 2019 PGRU, an achievement that was acknowledged by PGStats itself.
- Kurama's current gamer tag is named after the character of the same name from the manga/anime series YuYu Hakusho (and not from Naruto, he explicitly mentions).
