Kameme (かめめ), formerly known as Kamemushi (かめむし), is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Sora player with a Sheik secondary from Tokyo, Japan. He is considered the best Sora player in the world and one of the best Sheik players in Japan. Prior to using these characters, Kameme played Mega Man and Wario and was considered to be the best Mega Man player and one of the best Wario players in the world prior to the COVID-19 pandemic; both characters have since been relegated to secondaries. He is currently ranked 15th on the Experimental Smash Player Rankings and 11th on the Fall 2019 PGRU, and was ranked 2nd on the discontinued Japan Player Rankings.

In SSB4, he was a Mega Man and Sheik co-main and was also considered the best Mega Man player in the world. He was a pioneer in Mega Man's metagame, and following his performance at EVO 2016, caused a more favourable perception of Mega Man in the meta. Kameme is currently ranked 9th on the JAPAN Power Rankings and 18th on the Panda Global Rankings 100. He has taken sets off of top players such as ZeRo, Salem, MkLeo, KEN, VoiD, Mr.R, Ally, and komorikiri.

On September 30th 2016, Kameme was signed by DetonatioN Gaming.[1] They later parted ways on October 4th, 2018. On December 6th, 2018, Kameme was signed by RayRoad Gaming.[2]

    • He was known for occasionally sandbagging at Japanese tournaments, often going secondaries and pocket characters.
  • The trademark Mega Man footstool combo was popularized by Kameme. The combo consists of a footstool out of shield followed by a z-dropped Metal Blade into a footstool followed by a jab reset into an up tilt.
  • Kameme is one of the eight players to have a tied record against ZeRo, with the other players being Seagull Joe, Day, falln, Shuton, Darkshad, WaDi, and Trela.
