Trivia
- The starting date of the repeat of this event occurred on the 23rd anniversary of the original Super Smash Bros.'s Japanese release.
- Original Class of '64 is the first Event Tourney in which only certain items are available.
- The Smash Ball is the only item available in the tournament not to be present in the original Super Smash Bros.
- The banner is based off of the Japanese boxart for the original Super Smash Bros. This includes the fighters being posed in similar positions.
- Therefore, the four unlockable Smash 64 characters (Luigi, Captain Falcon, Ness, and Jigglypuff) are the only characters from the aforementioned game not to appear on the banner.
