Bowser (クッパ, Koopa) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was teased in a trailer released on March 8th, 2018 before being fully confirmed as playable on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4
Aesthetics
Although the primary aesthetic is nearly identical to the previous entry, Bowser's overall appearance was given more detail and slightly darkened in colour, akin to Brawl while retaining the brighter colours of SSB4.- Bowser's side taunt animation has been updated, to match his upright stance.
- Fire Breath is more vibrant in color as opposed to the more realistic flame in Brawl and SSB4.
Attributes
- Giga Bowser's functionality has drastically changed: rather than utilizing Bowser's Brawl moveset, he teleports to the background of the stage and aims a single OHKO punch, similar to how the Dragoon functions.
