2GGC: West Side Saga was a national Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament that was held on September 9th, 2017 in Santa Ana, California. Organized by 2GGaming, it served as the eighth qualifier of their 2GG Championship Series. The event was confirmed on August 23rd in a tweet, alongside the other three remaining events of the year.[1]
This saga showcased West Coast talent specifically from outside the SoCal region. Potential reimbursement for entry fees was being used as an incentive for players from various areas to register.
