The Sun Rise Tournament, also referred to as SRT, was Japan's first international Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament and an Apex 2013 qualifier. It was held from August 10 to August 12, 2012, in East Japan, and it attracted competition from the rest of Japan and even the United States and Europe. It was the largest Japanese Brawl tournament of all time, with 240 entrants. SRT was originally scheduled to be held on April 2nd-3rd, 2011, but was later cancelled because of the March 2011 earthquake.
