Masha (ましゃ) is a Smasher from Chūbu who has been active in competitive Super Smash Bros. for over a decade. He is considered one of the best Smash players from Chūbu.
He began competing in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a Falco player. Though many of his results remain undocumented, he was widely considered one of the best Falco players in Japan, alongside SLS, and was likely one of the best Falco players in the world as well. He is especially known for placing 4th at Sun Rise Tournament, where he notably defeated Mew2King and Kakera. He switched to Super Smash Bros. 4 when the game was released, and was initially a Shulk player, but eventually dropped Shulk for Meta Knight and later switched again to Diddy Kong. In Smash 4, he was known for his run to 4th at Karisuma 14, where he defeated komorikiri, Ranai, and Earth, as well as his 13th-place finish at EVO Japan 2018, where he defeated American invaders Zenyou and DSS.
However, he is best known for his performances in Ultimate, especially in the post-COVID-19 pandemic metagame. He wins or places highly at large Chūbu events, including winning three Toyota Grand Slum events and several Karisuma events. Notably, he won the A tier Grand Slum 17, becoming the first Wolf player to win an event of such a caliber since the early metagame. In addition, he has defeated players such as Miya at Maesuma TOP 9, Kameme at Kagaribi 10, and Umeki at Kagaribi 9. With these accomplishments, he is considered one of the best Wolf players in the post-pandemic metagame.
