The SSBMRank 2023 lists the world's top 100 Super Smash Bros. Melee players in 2023 as compiled by Melee Stats. The rankings are being announced in a series of articles published by start.gg from January 15th-26th, 2024.

Methodology

29 people, such as top players, tournament organizers, writers, and analysts were chosen to be panelists for this edition of SSBMRank. The panelists were asked to rank each ballot-eligible player based on their quality of results from December 19th, 2022 to December 17th, 2023 with a value between 1 and 120, and then each player’s rating was aggregated to a single value based on their distribution of votes.

Trivia

• Egg$ became the first Yoshi player other than aMSa to be ranked on a year-long global Melee ranking since nebbii on the 2018 MPGR, as well as the first Yoshi player from North America to do so.
• This is the first year where ChuDat and SFAT did not appear on a year-long global Melee ranking, as neither met activity requirements.
• Jah Ridin' became the first Swiss player to be ranked on a year-long global Melee ranking.
