Capture button
The capture button refers to a button on the left Joy-Con, allowing the player to capture pictures of the game they are playing and view them in the system's capture gallery. If the button is pressed, the Switch takes a screenshot of whatever game the player is playing; if the button is held, the Switch saves the last 30 seconds of gameplay as a video, though this option is limited to certain games (while the player can take screenshots in any game). Ultimate does not have the ability to save videos in this way, likely due to the alternative ability to save replays in the game, and the ability to convert replays into videos.
In addition to normal screenshots, pictures taken by the camera are saved to the Switch's capture gallery in the same fashion as a regular screenshot would.
