Shadow of Andross (アンドルフの影, Shadow of Andorf) is the 19th co-op event match out of a total of 21 in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. As Fox and Falco, the players must KO Wolf in the Lylat Cruise stage, while being attacked by and having to avoid the assist trophy character Andross.
Trivia
- This event is a reference to the fact that Wolf and Andross are the main villains of the Star Fox universe.
- This is the only time an Assist Trophy character is on the stage permanently.
- This event appears to be the inverse of single player Event 38: The Wolf Hunts the Fox, where instead of using Wolf to defeat Fox and Falco, the players use Fox and Falco to defeat Wolf.
- This event is similar to Melee's Event 29: Triforce Gathering, where two protagonists team up to defeat a villain in their own universe.
- Between Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl this event is the only one where the last event to have an assigned character (and it's a co-op event; which is one) that does not have the assigned character being the last unlockable character which most players unlock (Event 45: Game & Watch Forever! or Event 38: The Wolf Hunts the Fox). Instead, the two players in Co-op mode (to defeat Wolf) are Fox and Falco from the Star Fox universe; a starter character (for P1) and an unlockable character (for P2) which most players unlock first.
