Great Cave Offensive will appear in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. It was revealed, apparently unintentionally, on the official Smash Bros. Facebook page on October 5th, 2014. The lone image of the stage was captioned as "Kirby's going for a ride in a mine cart. Well, this situation looks familiar. This stage has some rules that are rare in the Smash Bros. series." One of the musical tracks to be included in the Smash Bros. Wii U soundtrack is named "The Great Cave Offensive", the same as one of the sub-games in Kirby Super Star - the stage was confirmed to be based on the Great Cave Offensive on the official Smash Bros. Twitter account on October 20, 2014.
