Chain (effect)
From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki

The chain effect is used by a small amount of attacks in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. They are exclusively used for Simon and Richter's attacks that feature the long chain of their whip. The effect does not appear to function any differently from the Normal effect, and is likely only cosmetic.
