Spiral Mountain is an upcoming downloadable stage in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, presumably to be bundled with Banjo & Kazooie.

Description

Not much is currently known about the stage. In Banjo & Kazooie's introduction trailer, it seems to rotate the characters and items. Bottles, Mumbo Jumbo, and Gruntilda all cameo on the stage, with Gruntilda flying in the background on her broom.

Origin

Spiral Mountain is the starting area in Banjo-Kazooie and almost every other game afterwards. In the first game, it serves as a tutorial area where Bottles the mole teaches Banjo and Kazooie some basic abilities to prepare them for their adventure to rescue Banjo's sister Tooty from Grunty the witch. The duo can explore around the mountain and find items such as empty honeycombs and an extra life, as well as monsterous vegetables to fight. Grunty's lair is connected to the top via a bridge.

In Banjo-Tooie, Spiral Mountain appears slightly different, with darker grass and troll-like enemies surrounding it. The bridge to Grunty's lair is broken off, and its inside has collapse partially, with only the starting lobby accessible, occupied by Cheato the magic book. The top of the spiral also has a flight pad, letting the pair explore more of the surroundings, including a waterfall cave.

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Spiral Mountain is briefly seen in the intro before Banjo, Kazooie, and Grunty warp to Showdown Town with the Lord of Games. The duo return there for the final boss fight against Grunty, and stay there after their adventure ends.
