Victra is a Canadian Melee smasher and tournament director from Alberta, Canada. Victra is largely responsible for organizing the competitive Super Smash Bros. community in Edmonton, Alberta. As of the end of 2016, Victra has been largely inactive as a competitive player, but remains active as a community adviser and attends locals from time to time.
Background
Victra became aware of the competitive Melee scene in late 2005 after reading a article about the game in issue 195 of Nintendo Power titled "Smash Planet". The article included such topics as SmashBoards, Ken Hoang, MLG, and rumours about a new installment of Super Smash Bros. tentatively titled Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This article also included a brief description of wavedashing and other competitive techniques that had been discovered.
