Nietono (にえとの) is an Olimar main from Japan. He is generally considered to be the best Olimar in the world, a view that was strengthened by outplacing other top Olimars such as Rich Brown, Brood, and Dabuz at Apex 2012. He has participated in many Japanese tournaments, such as the SRBT series. His debut in the American smash scene was at Apex 2012, where he placed 2nd behind Otori in Brawl singles and 13th in doubles with his partner RAIN.
After participating in Sun Rise Tournament, Nietono claimed to be retiring from competitive Brawl, though this would turn out to be untrue when he entered Piosuma [1]. However, he did not take it as seriously as before, opting to use his secondaries rather than his usual Olimar.
Nietono is a fearsome contender for Japan's top Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS player, beating out Aile and Abadango for the top spot in the country's first national 3DS tournament, Umebura 8. He is currently ranked 10th on the Umebura Smash 4 Power Rankings.
