A Stalfos in Smash Run.

The Stalfos (スタルフォス, Sutarufosu) is an enemy from The Legend of Zelda universe. It appears in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS as an enemy in Smash Run. It blocks most attacks with it's shields so it's best to hit behind or in the head with a down aerial such as Link's, Toon Link's or Mr. Game & Watch.

Origin

The Stalfos is an enemy that has appeared in almost every main game in The Legend of Zelda series (The game in which it did not appear in is Majora's Mask). They are undead skeleton beings that wield various weapons, from swords to clubs, and sometimes they hold a shield as well. They attack by swinging their weapons, and usually attack in groups.

The Smash Run version of the Stalfos is based on the design from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
