Even though I'm an admin, I will still brawl anyone that challenges me, regardless of their skill level. If you want to Brawl me, contact me here or on the IRC. If you wish, you can also ask me for my Pokémon FCs or for my Wii code (to exchange vault data). If you do brawl me and you're the one to host, be sure to set the rules to a 3 stock to 5 stock match with all items turned off (be sure to specifically turn off the smash ball and capsules). While I prefer items in offline FFAs, I do not like them in 1 on 1 matches or online fights (frame delay makes them much more abusable). Be sure to also not choose any banned stages and I would appreciate it if you didn't choose stages under the "counterpick/banned" category. I'm also on the IRC everyday and due to my inconsistent sleeping patterns, you can find me on there in the most unusual of hours.

I disagree with the part about needing to know stuff about SSB. I know next-to-nothing about the games and almost never play them- does that make my judgment poor or does it somehow affect my reasoning skills? Does it make me a poor administrator? I don't think so; do you? Shadowcrest 17:57, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

I said it wasn't absolutely necessary. I take note that you have a full comprehension of the guidelines and policies as well as handling user disputes well, which Mr.Anon does not. While it isn't absolutely necessary, I do believe it would ideal for an admin on this Wiki to be knowledgeable about the SSB games. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 18:00, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Your smash charts

I while ago I suggested that you merge your smash charts with their respective smash attack pages. The reason for this is because the charts would look nice on those pages, kinda like how the Tier List page has both an explanation of tiers and the actual tier list. Mr. Anon (talk) 18:03, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Uh, when did you suggested this? Back when the Forward Smash Chart was first created, you just mentioned how I was experienced with that stuff and how you could trust my testing of Ness' d-tilt. When the Up Smash Chart was created, no one tagged it with a merge tag. When a new merge discussion was set up on the Forward Smash Chart, no one objected to the merge tag being removed. As such, I would have to disagree with the merging. Unlike the Tier list, the smash charts are very large and unlike the descriptions about the tier lists, the respective smash pages are incomplete and are capable of containing much more information about the individual smashes. King Dedede (SSBB) and Snake (SSBB)

I think in your competency chart you should put Snake and King Dedede tied for first and second position. Mind if i do that edit? Zeldasmash (talk) 18:39, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

If my competency chart needs to be updated, I'll do it myself. As I said before, I have yet to see evidence in offline matches that my Snake is better than my Dedede. You have to remember that Snake is less effected by frame delay than Dedede is. Also, I do not believe that on any thing measuring how good a character is or how good someone is with a character, that two characters can be completely tied. One character has to exceed the other, even if by a minuscule amount. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 18:48, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
I am planning to host a tournament, wanna participate? Zeldasmash (talk) 19:01, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
An online tournament? Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 19:12, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah and fight like we always do. Zeldasmash (talk) 19:18, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
Well, I'm going to sleep now. Before I think about entering, I have to know the all the details of the tournament. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 19:21, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
OKay.
  • 3 Stock Match
  • No Items
  • Choose Stage
  • No Chain Grabs
  • DACUS Permited
  • Time 10:00
  • Bomb Recovery Allowed
  • 6 or 12 Contestants

Take a look at my matchup chart. Zeldasmash (talk) 00:41, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

Hey!!

Dan-snk-classic.gif ONE-THOUSAND EDITS, MAN! Good job! That was pretty quick, faster than me... --HavocReaper'48 00:47, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks but did you have to reward me with an image of Dan, the Pichu of Street Fighter? Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 06:15, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
Or are you saving a better fighter for a better milestone? Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 16:57, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
Ahem, he is NOT the "Pichu" of Street Fighter, and is truly awesome, so are his taunts and victory poses. He's the Jigglypuff of SF, being the manliest. (try playing SFA2). --HavocReaper'48 18:42, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
Jigglypuff isn't manly =\.--MegaTron1XDDecepticon.png 18:43, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
Well, from what I read, he is supposed to be a joke character, generally being the worst character in the games, similar to how Pichu was a joke character. Also, I meant what I said as a joke. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 18:46, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
@Mega: See "How to Brawl Like a Man" (youtube).
@Omega: Even if he was fully intended to mock other developer's bland ripoffs of SF (ohai "King of Fighters"), he's still a character, just like Ryu or Pichu... but, OK. --HavocReaper'48 18:55, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

Quietly deal with vandals

Again, I hate to backseat Mod, but in the future please don't go onto vandals' talk pages and respond to their trolling. That's exactly what they want, to stir up trouble on the wiki. Mr. Anon (talk) 18:50, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

My recent posts was just to explain a few things. This particular user is clearly more intelligent than the average vandal/troll. The user kept saying that they didn't know what we were getting angry at them for and I was explaining to them why. The user didn't come across to me as a troll and I was showing them respect. As it turns out, the user was just a casual gamer who felt people who played video games competitively were too serious. So I also went and explained how people enjoy video games differently and that they should respect it. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 19:00, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

Making

I am making another tier list. Zeldasmash (talk) 22:26, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

I cannot help you create your next tier list, you still haven't done enough constructive mainspace edits to convince me that you care about the Wiki more than your userpage. When I checked your edit count, you mainspace edits make up less than 20% of your total edits, while your userpage edits make up more 50%, which is unacceptable. If I'm to help you create another tier list, get your mainspace edits to at least 25%. I believe this is rather generous, considering a good portion of your mainspace edits have been reverted. If you fail to reach this requirement, you'll have to figure out yourself how to rearrange tiers and such. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 22:39, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Edits

I am trying to edit pages, but you keep erasing them. Come On!!!!. :( Zeldasmash (talk) 21:07, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

The vast majority of your mainspace edits are trivia about characters' tiers or matchups, which we don't need. Try doing some different editing. Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png The Stats Guy 21:09, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
I just don"t know what to edit. Zeldasmash (talk) 21:11, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
When you make an edit in the future, use a neutral point of view. Do not make edits based on your opinion. This is an encyclopedia about Smash, one's personal opinion does not belong in our articles. You may be trying, but the majority of your edits are unnecessary, opinionated, etc. and I happened to catch them first. Whenever I see a faulty edit, I undo it, regardless of who made it. Even if I didn't undo your edit, someone else would have. Now read this before making anymore edits. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 21:30, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

hi

Welcome to the team, and please remember to add yourself to the list of actives at your leisure. :) Shadowcrest 01:01, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Congratulations OT!!! It's about time they promoted you. It's vandal blocking time! Dr. Pain 99 Dp99.png Talk 01:20, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Congrats! I hope my request didn't sound like I was trying to run against you, though. Anyways, we're surprisingly short on active admins, and I think you are a great addition to the team. Mr. Anon (talk) 01:30, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Bison-powaaa.gif

M. Bison (above) shows your new power! Use it as you wish on your page. Good job, OT! Now it's time to fix SW's massive Category:Merge and sticker problems. You know I'm next to become admin... --HavocReaper'48 01:42, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for showing your support, I'm already working on getting rid of the sticker articles and after I'm done with those, I'll start working on the merge problem. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 01:59, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Enjoy it, but you still answer to me :) Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 04:05, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Marth's dair

I noticed you reverted my edits. While at times it is indeed a spike, it can also meteor smash. My testing has shown that if you hit the enemy at some angles it will meteor smash them, and at others it will spike. I will not revert again as I don't want to engage in an edit war, so I want to settle this here. Mr. Anon (talk) 05:26, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

In the NTSC version, it does not have a meteor smash hitbox. If it did contain a meteor smash hitbox, you would get the Meteor Smash bonus for anyone you KOed with, which you do not. In Melee, if you KO anyone with an attack that contains a meteor smash hitbox, you'll get the Meteor Smash bonus, regardless of whether or not you KO the opponent with the meteor smash hitbox. For example, if you KO someone with the Nipple Spike, you'll still get the Meteor Smash bonus, since Captain Falcon's dair contains a meteor smash hitbox. This is not the case with Marth's dair. It does not contain a meteor smash hitbox and therefore you'll never get the Meteor Smash bonus. When Marth's dair is not tipped or better known as being sourspotted, it hits the opponent on a weak horizontal trajectory instead. In my years of playing Melee, I never seen it meteor smash and more importantly, I never got the Meteor Smash bonus for KOing someone with Marth's dair. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 05:55, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
In PAL, Marth's dair is a meteor smash, but in NTSC, it is a spike. Dr. Pain 99 Dp99.png Talk 13:57, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
This does not make sense. I have tested with his dair on a Level 9 Jigglypuff, and it canceled it. Perhaps it was a glitch. I did not test it in Adventure or Classic, so I do not know if it would get the meteor smash bonus. Mr. Anon (talk) 18:46, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Uh, you still get the bonuses at the end of any Vs.Mode match. Don't you pay attention to the results screen? Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 18:48, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

3rd Recovery Tier List Talk

Hey Omega, if you want, you can help me and Zeldasmash with the 3rd recovery tier list. Just go to the IRC. Doc King (talk) 15:21, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Merging

When merging a page, you need to also merge the page histories. See the administrator's handbook on how to do this. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 17:23, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about that, I thought you did not need to merge histories if you were merging a very small article such as the Baiting article. When I looked at the history of the Special Melee page after the Special Melee modes articles were merged with it recently, I saw no evidence of history merging. So I assumed a history merge wasn't necessary when merging a small article that had few revisions on it. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 17:39, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

Stage

Who sent me that custom stage in Brawl? Zeldasmash (talk) 01:43, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know what you are talking about, I don't have your Wii code and therefore I'm incapable of sending you created stages. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 01:51, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

There was already speculation! I've been here longer than you have, but I haven't ever edited here! So don't you dare insult me on the rules because I've been sick almost all day! Moon the Hedgehog (talk) 05:47, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Moon, Omega Tyrant is a sysop and one of our best editors. I suggest that you don't try to argue with him. He knows the rules here. Dr. Pain 99 Dp99.png Talk 05:51, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
Even if your account is older than mine, I've contributed much more than you have. The fact that I've been here for less than four months is irrelevant. You clearly do not know the rules and as an admin, I enforced them. I do not care if you are sick, you do not breach this Wiki's policies. Also, if you are so knowledgeable about this Wiki, you would have replied to my comment on your talk page, not mine. Now show some respect and start following this Wiki's rules or I'll block you. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 05:59, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Not to be rude but

Mario can do 3 up aerials in a row. If you do an up aerial at the EXACT start of his jump, he can do 3 up aerials. Zeldasmash (talk) 15:37, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

No, he cannot. I just tested it, and he was barely able to perform 2 in a short hop. He may be able to do it in a full jump, but he can't in a short hop, which is what the trivia was about. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 15:41, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

A combo I discovered

Hi. I've recently discovered a combo that I've called the "PK combo". It involves using Ness' PK Fire to trap an opponent, then followed up by an F throw, then finishing the opponent with a dair. Does this combo already exist, and does it merit an article? Mr. Anon (talk) 19:44, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

No, it would not merit an article. For a combo to merit its own article, it has to be widely known and recognised, such as the Ken Combo. I'm pretty sure people utilize that set-up before, but I'm not a tourney expert. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 19:48, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
If you don't mind, I added it to the PK Fire article. Mr. Anon teh awsome 00:12, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

I am sorry for arguing. I got blocked and I don't want to again. I want us to leave each other alone. And by the way, on my home wiki (along with various other wikis that I contribute to) does not answer on our own talk pages. And I am not new to Wikia so please keep that in mind. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Moon the Hedgehog (talkcontribs) 02:30, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Uh, moon, sign your comments using ~~~~ Dr. Pain 99 Dp99.png Talk 04:55, July 3, 2010 (UTC)
Whether your new to Wikia or not, it does not give you an excuse to violate our policies. While it may be acceptable in other Wikis, our Wiki has a policy against reverting a revert (which I'm willing to be lenient on if there's an acceptable edit summary), inserting speculation in our articles, and we believe it is good practice to keep conversations in one place. However, I know everyone makes mistakes and I accept your apology. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 12:36, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

NOW?

Can you now help me with the tier list? Zeldasmash (talk) 16:10, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

No I cannot, your mainspace edits are under 20%, while your userpage edits are over 50%. Like I said before, get your mainspace edits to at least 25% then I'll help you. This is also generous based on the fact that I'm not considering reverted edits. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 16:15, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

If this is about me reverting your edit, that is what I do. When I see an edit that is unnecessary, false, etc., I revert it, regardless of who made it. As it is, a large amount of the edits you made have to be reverted and I happen to catch them first. If I haven't reverted your edit, chances are someone else would have. I'm about to go to sleep and unless I'm given a reason other than "to talk", I'm not going on the IRC. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 14:35, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for your help with the Pikachu edit. Zeldasmash (talk) 14:05, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I would have reverted your edit have I not noticed how small and incomplete the section was. So instead of reverting your edit, I revised and expanded the section. Remember, a character having a significantly better tier position doesn't necessarily mean that they were significantly buffed. Look at Zelda, I doubt anyone would say she wasn't significantly buffed in Brawl, yet her current tier position is even worse than it was in Melee. I had heard that at least part of Schenectady was in zip code 12345. Just cool trivia shit. I've actually stayed there before, and driven through/by many times. I've made the Chicago to Boston drive about ten times or so and done shorter drives by there for other things. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 04:36, July 13, 2010 (UTC)
I currently am unable to drive as I do not have a car or a driver's license. So unless I can find a ride from someone, I would be unable to go to Boston. In fact, I've only been out of New York state once in my life. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 04:46, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

Jigglypuff's D-Air

I know that this move sends grounded opponents upwards, but I can't tell if its a meteor smash on airborne opponents. Chimanruler15 (talk) 04:42, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

In Melee, this attack did contain a meteor smash hitbox. But to my knowledge in Brawl, this attack does not. But since it was in Melee, I'll do some testing of it in Brawl to make sure. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 04:57, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
I can confirm that Jigglypuff's dair is a Meteor Smash, but only on grounded opponents. The attack has two pairs of hitboxes - they are completely identical in size and position, but the one that hits grounded opponents is a Meteor Smash, and the one that hits aerial opponents is not. Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png The Table Designer 13:38, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
What about Samus' u-tilt? To my knowledge, it was a meteor smash that could only hit grounded opponents in Melee. In Brawl, it still produces the same pure vertical trajectory on grounded opponents, but with bonuses or KO yells not existing in Brawl, I can't tell for sure if it is. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 13:42, July 15, 2010 (UTC)
Yep, same deal. Only difference is that the Meteor Smash in this case does 1% more damage. Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png eXemplary Logic 14:05, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Launch Testing

Can you tell me what launch testing is? I know that it is used for finding meteor smashes because you have mentioned it before. Chimanruler15 (talk) 04:44, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Basically, a hitbox that is a meteor smash is weaker on grounded opponents than airborne opponents. So if you hit someone with a meteor smash and then reset the match to see their launch speed, the launch speed would be higher on the opponent when they are airborne. But in almost all cases, this test is unnecessary as you'll just need to identify the difference between a meteor trajectory and a semi-spike trajectory. Sorry, OT. I only added it because I didn't see it on the page, but I removed it because it didn't really have anything to do with Bowser. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ederek-Cole (talkcontribs) 16:57 July 22, 2010 (UTC)

Ok then, that makes sense. But whenever removing a large amount of information, explain why you did in the edit summary. Also remember to sign your posts with four tildes ~~~~. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 17:01, July 22, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I'll do that in the future. Ederek-Cole (talk) 17:04, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

Sometimes I wonder how I make such mistakes-- thanks. :P Shadowcrest 13:36, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

It's ok dude. Everyone makes mistakes. Especially me :P Doctor Pain 99 (CTE) Dp99.png 15:39, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Hello again

I do have a relevant question, but first, I did enjoy fighting you yesterday. I had to quit out because the lag on my end made me completely lose control of the Climbers at one point. I didn't want to mention it on IRC because I didn't want to make people think I was simply making excuses. But anyway, on to my question.

Is there a prerequisite number of edits you have to make before you can post a personalized tier list, or am I misunderstanding something? I'm only asking because I'm not sure if everyone is allowed those privileges or if you have to prove yourself a dedicated member of the wiki. Ederek-Cole (talk) 17:59, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

If you mean a competency chart, you can make one whenever you want. Making tier lists is frowned upon by many admins on the site, though it is not technically against the rules-- as long as you don't focus too much on it, it shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you keep editing important namespaces (main, talk, SmashWiki/talk, etc) and not just your userspace/forums, and nobody should bother you. Shadowcrest 18:02, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

Irc ban

Hey, Omega, can you please tell Salad to please unbanned me in the irc? I already talked to him, but now he's not responding. Doc King (talk) 23:00, July 25, 2010 (UTC)

Salad blocked you; as such no one else really has a right to unblock you without a really good reason. Also, people can't always make decisions as fast as you appear to be expecting. Being impatient as you are is doing you more harm than good. Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png 00:25, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

My MSN

...is borked, in case you're wondering. Sorry. Mako Shark (talk) 14:25, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

Any idea on how long it's going to be unusable? Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 14:32, July 26, 2010 (UTC)
