Methodology

Similar to previous lists, the SSBMRank 2024 is a panel-based ranking where panelists were asked to rank each player on the ballot, with the values then being aggregated to a single value based on their distribution. A total of 125 players were placed on the ballot.

For a player to be eligible, they are required to attend a total of 5 events, with 2 of those events being majors.

• This is the first full-year ranking since its inception in 2013 where both Colbol and Plup were unranked, as both players did not meet the attendance requirement.
• Junebug became the first Donkey Kong player to be ranked Top 20 on a global Melee ranking.
