== This article is incredibly biased and in desperate need of revision ==
The consensus among elite Smash Ultimate players is that Ganondorf is one of the worst characters in the game, possibly being the absolute worst. This article reflects the anti-Ganondorf models of thinking within the current meta. However, unlike the articles on Luigi and Steve, there is no counter argument representing the arguments for Ganondorf viability. It is a widely known '''fact''' that Ganondorf has consistently been the best character throughout the Smash bros. iterations and is only viewed as an inferior character due to widespread propaganda and misinformation. The article barely alludes to this and actually makes radical claims that are not only false, but also harmful.

Does Down-B really restore double jump?

I've watched the clip provided on the edit ( https://youtu.be/8oPhDrn7juE?t=19m40s ) but it just seems to me that Ganondorf did not use his second jump at all since the last time he was on the ground, so he just still had that jump. Ponyshment (talk) 13:01, 16 June 2018 (EDT)

It's possible that that is what happened. You're free to revert. Aidan, the College-Bound Rurouni 13:03, 16 June 2018 (EDT)

Jump Height

Are we sure that Ganondorf actually jumps higher in this game? I was pretty sure that it remains unchanged. OldLink5 (talk) 08:02, March 12, 2019 (EDT)

3.0.0

Bayonetta115ShieldChange.gif

Changed the posture when receiving damage in the air and made it easier to receive damage.

I'd argue that this isn't a nerf, but a bugfix. All it did was alter the leg placement, and prior to 3.0.0 things like Dancing Blade would just clip through his legs and fall out of the combo unnaturally.

Bayonetta in SSB4 had a similar incident prior to 1.1.5 where Tether Grabs could slip between her legs, which is classified as a bugfix by this Wiki.

Warlock Punch range

It might've been just me, but i once had a feeling Warlock Punch had less range than Smash 4, not that it had lots of it to begin with. Has anyone compared the hitbox in both games and see if they look similar? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Skrall2 (talkcontribs) 21:29, August 9, 2019 (EST)

What are defensive options?

I see this used a lot and I still can't understand what it means. It says that one of Ganondorf's biggest weaknesses is his lack of defensive options. I think it also said in Lucas's page that he had very bad defensive options as well. What does this mean? That their spot and air dodges aren't good or something else? SacredFire37 (talk) 19:04, April 15, 2021 (EDT)

It doesn't just include strictly defensive options but also attacks that have defensive applications, for example Cloud's up special or back serial can act as defensive options for him. Ganondorf has terrible OOS options, stubby aerials for his size (except neutral air) and no projectiles, all of which hinder his overall defensive game significantly.
