Daisy (デイジー, Daisy) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. She was revealed as a newcomer alongside Inkling and Ridley from Nintendo's 2018 E3 press conference, on June 12th, 2018. She is an Echo Fighter of Peach. Deanna Mustard's portrayals of Daisy in the Mario games were repurposed for Ultimate.
Differences from Peach
Aesthetics
- As with all echo fighters, Daisy has different aesthetic animations, such as her taunts, victory poses, and entrance animation.
- Daisy has a more energetic idle stance, with her arms held up by her side.
- Daisy uses a Blue Toad instead of a red one for her counter and throws.
- Daisy has flower and petal effects for her attacks, including her dash attack and back aerial, instead of hearts.
- Daisy has different, more cheerful facial expressions for many attacks and action.
- Daisy has a different running animation similar to Super Mario Party.
- Daisy's Final Smash is similar to Peach's Final Smash, except that it summons edible daisies instead of peaches, and is themed around herself.
- Daisy is visibly (but only slightly) shorter than Peach. Whether this has any impact on her hitboxes compared to Peach is currently unknown.
Role in World of Light
Daisy was absent in the World of Light trailer, though she presumably became a spirit alongside the rest of the galaxy (sans Kirby) when Galeem unleashed its beams of light.

- Despite utilizing a Toad as her neutral special, Daisy has little affiliation with Toads outside of her friendship with Peach. Her country, Sarasaland, is also uninhabited by Toads.

- In Mario Strikers Charged, her Toad sidekick is a Blue Toad like in Ultimate.
- Daisy doesn't usually have a correlation with Vegetables, though she and all characters pluck turnips in the Mario Party 7 minigame Bumper Crop.
- Daisy's affiliation with the parasol comes through the Mario Kart series, where she can use the "Peach Parasol" on her vehicle with her own colors, though all characters can use this item. She and all characters also used one in the in the Mario Party 3 minigame Parasol Plummet.
- Many of Daisy's animations and artwork reference the Mario series.
- Two of Daisy's victory animations reference her victory celebrations in the Mario series titles Mario Golf: World Tour and Mario Tennis Aces.
