Daisy (デイジー, Daisy) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. She was revealed as a newcomer alongside Inkling and Ridley from Nintendo's 2018 E3 press conference, on June 12th, 2018. She is an Echo Fighter of Peach. Deanna Mustard reprises her role as Daisy from previous Mario games.
Differences from Peach
Aesthetics
- Daisy has different taunts and victory animations. Her entrance is different as well.
- Daisy has a more energetic idle stance, with her arms held up by her side.
- Daisy uses a Blue Toad instead of a red one for her counter and throws.
- Daisy has flower and petal effects for her attacks, including her dash attack, instead of hearts.
- Daisy has different, more cheerful facial expressions for certain attacks.
Attributes
- Daisy appears to be slightly shorter than Peach, as she is in most Mario series games. This seems to give her a smaller hurtbox while apparently slightly reducing her vertical range.
Aerial Attacks
- Daisy's forward aerial is not a magic attack, and appears to have a much shorter range than Peach's similar attack.
Special Moves
- Daisy's variant of Peach Bomber has a faster startup. [1]
- Daisy pulls Vegetables out of the ground faster.

Trivia
- Despite utilizing one in her moveset, Daisy has almost no affiliation with Toads - blue or otherwise - in the Mario games. The only exception is in Mario Super Sluggers, where a red Toad guards her after she was petrified by Bowser Jr.
- Daisy is the only Ultimate newcomer revealed during E3 to not be playable in the demo.
- One of Daisy's victory animations is reminiscent of her celebration animation from Mario Golf: World Tour.
- Daisy's pose for one of her unique animations matches promotional artwork of her first used for Mario Kart 7. It is unclear whether this is a taunt or an idle.
- Daisy was the second newcomer announced for Ultimate. This marks only the second time a new clone character for a Smash title had been announced before the game launched, with the last time being Lucina in SSB4.
- Daisy is the first character to be cloned from a female, being Peach.
- Daisy is one of only two newcomers introduced in Ultimate to not have splash art, the other being Inkling.
- Daisy's pose in the group artwork for Ultimate is based upon Peach's back throw animation from SSB4.
- Daisy was the first character to be shown on the new victory screen.
