—Introduction Tagline

Isabelle (しずえ, Shizue) is a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The secretary for the player character in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and de facto mascot of the Animal Crossing franchise, she was announced as a newcomer at the end of the September 13th, 2018 Nintendo Direct. Isabelle appears to be a semi-clone of Villager, as they share certain moves.

Attributes

  • Isabelle's moveset shares some similarities to Villager, such as a move similar to Villager's dash attack, the use of Pocket, and grabbing with a net, but many of her moves differ as well, and she is not classified as an Echo Fighter.
  • She wears her Spring/Summer outfit by default, but can also wear her Autumn/Winter outfit.

Known moveset

  • Isabelle has an attack where she swings a broom overhead.
  • Isabelle has an attack involving a toy hammer.
  • Isabelle can fire a party popper forward.
  • Isabelle can erect a stop sign in front of her.
  • Isabelle can splash water to her front and back with a bucket.
  • Isabelle has an aerial attack where she twirls pom-poms over her head.
  • Isabelle has a move similar to Villager's dash attack, but it uses an empty jar instead of a potted sapling.
  • Isabelle can use Pocket, seemingly identically to its function as Villager's neutral special.
  • Isabelle makes use of a fishing rod for one of her moves, grabbing opponents and pulling them closer to her before throwing them. Like Villager, she can also grab and throw opponents with a net.
  • One of her moves involves burying Lloid as a sort of landmine that drags opponents into the air when triggered.
  • Isabelle's recovery has her lounging on a bench with a pair of bunny-ear balloons for her variant of Balloon Trip.
  • Her Final Smash, functioning similarly to Villager's, catches opponents under the construction of the Town Hall before it blows up with the enemies inside.
