Isabelle (しずえ, Shizue) is a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. She was announced as a newcomer at the end of a Nintendo Direct on September 13th, 2018. As they share many similarities, Isabelle appears to be a semi-clone of Villager.
Attributes
- Isabelle's moveset shares some similarities to Villager, such as a move similar to Villager's dash attack and the use of Pocket, but many of her moves differ as well, and she is not classified as an Echo Fighter.
- Isabelle makes use of a fishing rod for one of her moves, which can hook opponents.
- One of her moves acts as a sort of land mine that drags opponents into the air when triggered.

- Isabelle is the fourth character to be announced in Ultimate that was previously featured as a Mii costume in Super Smash Bros. 4, the others being Inkling, Chrom, and King K. Rool.
- Isabelle is the third playable character who was originally an Assist Trophy, following Little Mac and Dark Samus.
