Dr. Mario (ドクターマリオ, Doctor Mario) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was officially confirmed as playable on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4
Dr. Mario is now a semi-clone of Mario, rather than a full clone like he was in Melee and Smash 4, as he still shares some attacks, but not as many, and is not classified as an Echo Fighter.
Aerial attacks
Dr. Mario has a new down aerial, a downward stomp, as opposed to a drill kick. Compared to the old down aerial, the stomp is faster and can meteor smash.
