Suzaku Castle is a stage in Super Smash Bros. 4 based on Ryu's stage from Street Fighter II. The stage takes place on the rooftop of the Japanese castle, and features two long walk-off platforms on the right side of the stage and two smaller platform on the left side. Signposts located on the longest platform will break if a fighter is launched past them. Once all the signs are broken, they will eventually repair.
Ω Form
As the Ω Form of the stage consists of a single flat platform, it resembles a traditional Street Fighter match. Interestingly, the signposts can be broken even on the Ω version of the stage, making it the only Ω Form stage to have interactable parts (albeit background parts that don't affect the match).
Trivia
- During the video that showed off Suzaku Castle, it stated that the music changes with 30 seconds remaining, and claimed this was a series first; this is false, as the Mushroom Kingdom stage in Melee, as well as Mushroom Kingdom II in Melee used this feature before Smash 4.
- However, the music also changes when one player is down to one stock, which is a first for the series.
