A stage based on the Game Boy will appear in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. Apparently, turning on the Nintendo 3DS's 3D feature will make it look like there is a Game Boy inside the screen.
Trivia
- The Pic of the day from August 8, 2014 that features the monochrome Kirby and King Dedede costumes is likely a reference to Kirby's Dream Land, which debuted on the system. Incidentally, the Super Smash Bros. and Kirby series were also directed by Masahiro Sakurai.
- This is the third stage in the series based entirely on a handheld, the first two being Flat Zone and Flat Zone 2.
