Inui is a former smasher and tournament organizer from Ocean Grove, New Jersey currently residing in La Crosse, Wisconsin, who mains Sheik in Melee, Meta Knight in Brawl and Lucina in Smash 4. He is mostly known for having been a doubles play specialist in all Smash titles he has played, as well as hosting tournaments in New Jersey when he resided there.
His first tournament was a Melee tournament in New York in October 2005, where his first tournament loss was against Wes, opening his eyes to the highest levels of play and inspiring him to keep getting better. That same day, a young Hax would also teach Inui about the technical aspects of Melee. He would later rise to national prominence in Melee, with a 7th place finish at EVO East in 2007, beating Wes and numerous other competitors.
In terms of doubles play, he is known for being arguably one of the best doubles players in New Jersey during Brawl's early and middle portions of their lifespan, mostly teaming with Atomsk, Mew2King, Zucco, Malcolm, Snakeee, and Ally. In early 2009, he and Atomsk would place 3rd in Clash of the Titans IV after a very difficult bracket, which included opponents such as ChuDat/Azen, Boss/Korn, and G-regulate/Meep.

Controversy
Despite being known as a skilled player at almost every Smash game he has played, Inui has been in the center of several controversies, generally involving rude conduct with others both in real life and on social media. A number of other events in his personal life would farther impede his Smash career.
Altercation with Ryan Ford at NEC XIII
During Northeast Championship XIII, a qualifying tournament for Apex 2013, Inui frequently heckled other players during their matches. After reportedly using a racial slur against Ryan Ford in some of his heckling, Ryan Ford twice placed Inui in a chokehold in retaliation. Ryan Ford was later permanently banned from the Apex tournament series in response, with Inui's punishment being unknown. The actions of both players provoked controversy and discussion among the community, primarily regarding what players can actually say in the midst of tournaments; notable Brawl tournament organizer Fabled, for instance, later updated his ruleset to address abusive speech.
Wisconsin arrests
After relocating to Wisconsin in 2016, Inui got himself into controversy with the Smash scene with his posts on social media, as well as his general behavior at tournaments. He was later banned from tournaments in Wisconsin in the later part of summer 2016, and began to commute to neighboring states Minnesota and Iowa for tournaments; after this, it was later reported Inui had been arrested for selling narcotics and being in possession of methamphetamine, a controlled substance in the United States, something he was infamous for bragging about at Wisconsin tournaments. He was later arrested and jailed for the crime. Inui was not heard from until May 2017, when he returned to Wisconsin on parole for one tournament. After this tournament, he was subsequently banned from Wisconsin tournaments again, as it was later discovered him being in Wisconsin violated the terms of his parole.
Aggravated battery with a sword
On May 26, 2017, Inui was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and disorderly conduct. Reportedly, Inui had slashed the thigh of a man with a samurai sword while returning to a closed-down Mobil Oil gas station that he was living near, due to being homeless at the time. Inui was charged for the crime, and he was later charged as a fugitive of justice due to drug charges in Minnesota. Inui's already-tumultuous reputation was further tarnished by the charges, and in addition to a number of jokes concerning his arrest, Inui's arrest would lead to serious discussion on social media and streams. Since this incident, Inui has not been involved with the Smash community in any capacity.
Trivia
- Inui is known in the Smash community for the inside joke Inui logic, a statement saying "if A beats B and B beats C, A then beats C". An example (in Melee) is such:
- Kage beat Mango at Revival of Melee 2 who beat Armada at Genesis.
- This concludes that Kage is better than Armada and Mango, and anybody who defeats Kage is also better than all three.
