True Speedsters Only (追いつけ追いこせ！ 最速ファイター決定戦, Catch Up and Overtake! The Fastest Fighter Playoffs), known as Fleet-Foot Frenzy in PAL regions, was an Event Tourney that ran from 6 a.m. on January 22, 2021 to 6 a.m. on January 25, 2021 (UTC). The event featured 16 of the fastest characters in the game and 10 stages that are walk-offs with no initial pits.
Description

- Only the 16 speediest fighters can enter this time-limited tourney! Dash around sprawling stages at breakneck speed, and claim pole position!

Trivia
- Charizard is the fastest character in the game (being tied with Ridley) that is not available in the event due to it being part of Pokémon Trainer.
- Aside from Pokémon Trainer, Yoshi is the fastest character not available in this event.
