Aesthetics

  • Change As with all veterans returning from SSB4, Peach's model features a more subdued color scheme. Her hair and gloves now feature simple detailing, similar to Brawl. Her dress retains its design from the previous iteration, but now features a glossy satin texture.
  • Change Peach's dress now has independent physics.
  • Change Peach always faces the screen regardless of which direction she turns. As a result, her stance, moveset, and animations are now mirrored.
  • Change Peach's down taunt now has a heart pop up next to her head. She also no longer spins, and winks immediately.
  • Change Peach's side taunt has been shortened, she now only dances back and forth instead of the 3 step dance, though the music notes still appear.

Attributes

  • Buff Like all characters, Peach’s jumpsquat animation now takes three frames to complete.
  • Buff Peach slightly jumps higher.

Ground Attacks

  • Change Peach's down tilt has been changed from a sweep with her hand to a sweep kick.
  • Buff Peach’s Down tilt covers more range.
  • Nerf Peach's forward smash has gone back to a random order between a tennis racket, golf club, and frying pan. This prevents her from preparing whichever weapon the player may want to use.
  • Buff Peach's up smash now has a heart at the end of the ribbon. The heart has a hitbox that extends the range of the attack.
  • Buff Peach’s dash attack does more damage and knockback and KOs more easily.

Throws/other attacks

  • Change Toad now appears when Peach grabs an opponent to attack alongside her when she uses her pummel and throws. It is currently unknown if Toad affects the properties of her pummel and throws.
  • Buff Forward aerial does more damage and knockback.

Special Moves

  • Buff Toad's counterattack now has Toad immediately appear on the ground next to Peach, bodyguarding her, instead of Peach using him as a shield. The move's startup lag was also significantly reduced.
  • Buff Peach Bomber does more damage.
  • Buff Turnips now bounce off the ground after hitting an opponent instead of disappearing.
  • Buff Despite footstools now being techable, Peach’s Turnips can still lock.
