| | |desc-ntsc=A veteran spaceship pilot for Hocotate Freight, Captain Olimar partners with Pikmin in Smash Bros. to help him in battle. Olimar is much stronger when he's got Pikmin with him, so keep them plucked and good to go. Pikmin abilities are based on their color—learn what each is best at! | ||
|- | |desc-pal=Captain Olimar, veteran Hocotate Freight astronaut, joins forces with Pikmin again in this game to take on the world. Olimar isn't much of an attacker without Pikmin by his side, so you should always keep some ready. Pikmin have different abilities depending on their colour, so learn how they work to use them effectively! | ||

|desc-ntsc=This Pikmin has a red body and a long, pointy nose. It was the first type of Pikmin Olimar ever met. In Smash Bros., they have the second highest attack power among the Pikmin. Like their fiery color suggests, they can attack with flames and withstand them. | |||
|desc-pal=Telling Red Pikmin apart from the other Pikmin is easy: these ones have long, pointy noses. Also, they're red. They're the very first kind of Pikmin Olimar finds on their planet, and their high attack power makes them very useful. In this game, they can deal powerful attacks, and they're very resistant to fire damage. | |||

|desc-ntsc=This blue Pikmin walks around with its mouth ajar. At home in the water, they're very helpful when objects are submerged and need retrieving. In Smash Bros., blue Pikmin have defense second only to purple Pikmin. They are also able to do more damage when thrown, so don't be shy about hurling them at foes. | |||
|desc-pal=The things that make blue Pikmin different from all the other Pikmin are that they have mouths and that they're pretty good swimmers. They're slightly hardier than most other Pikmin, and they do more damage when you throw them. So, as soon as you get one of these, make sure to throw it right at someone straight away! | |||

|desc-ntsc=This yellow Pikmin is sporting some pointy things on its head. Maybe those are ears? Hmm... Anyway, yellow Pikmin are immune to electricity and are the lightest Pikmin in the Pikmin series. In Smash Bros., a thrown yellow Pikmin will fly through the air in a nice curve, zapping anyone it comes in contact with. | |||
|desc-pal=Yellow Pikmin have big, sharp ears and conduct electricity very well. These two facts are most likely unrelated. Olimar's side special can throw this Pikmin high into the air and cause electrical damage to all fighters who stray too close! | |||

|desc-ntsc=These tiny, white Pikmin have bright-red eyes. They are the fastest of the Pikmin, perfect for finding and retrieving hidden treasure. In Smash Bros., you can use them to poison your enemies. Since they can fly the farthest of any Pikmin when thrown, use them to poison enemies from afar. | |||
|desc-pal=These small, fast-footed Pikmin are white with red eyes. That ominous look they have might give you the chills, and you'd be right to be scared – the little blighters are poisonous! In this game, they'll hang on to any enemy you throw them at and generously share their venom with them. | |||

|desc-ntsc=These Pikmin are made of solid rock, so they can stand up to a lot of attacks and won't get hurt when they get stepped on. They specialize in body blows, dealing a lot of damage when thrown, and they can also break right through glass and crystal. They can't latch on to other creatures, though. |desc-ntsc=These pink Pikmin have big, blue eyes and nice wings to help them fly. In Smash Bros., they show up to carry Olimar and friends through the air. However, how high and far they can fly is affected by how many friends they have to carry. More Pikmin will weigh them down. | |||
|desc-pal=This particular type of Pikmin has a pink body, blue eyes and...wings? Yep, they can fly, and in this game, they can even give Olimar a lift. The only thing is they'll get tired very easily, especially if they're carrying lots of other Pikmin at the same time. Go easy on them, OK? | |||

==Trivia== | |||
*The End of Day trophy in the PAL version states that Olimar jumps aboard the S.S. Dolphin. In reality, the spaceship Olimar uses in his Final Smash is the Hocotate ship. | |||
*Blue Pikmin are noted as doing more damage when thrown (via [[Pikmin Throw]]), but this is untrue - in actuality, they deal more damage by throwing opponents. Therefore, this may be a translation error. | |||
*Olimar's alt trophy in the 3DS version is posed very similarly to his artwork from ''Brawl''. | |||
*Charlie and Brittany are listed under the "Stage" section even though they do not appear in Garden of Hope at all. | |||
*On the NTSC version of the Burrowing Snagret's trophy, the description claims that it belongs to the "avian" family. In actuality, the creature belongs to the fictional "snavian" family. | |||
*In ''Pikmin 3'', the Quaggled Mireclops is fought in a muddy, damp area, which is depicted in the Plasm Wraith trophy (which even includes the puddles created in the mud, an important mechanic during the Quaggled Mireclops fight), even though the latter is not fought or associated with this terrain. Meanwhile, the same muddy terrain is missing from the Quaggled Mireclops trophy. | |||

The following is a list of the 26 trophies from the Pikmin series that appear in Super Smash Bros. 4. There are 15 trophies shared between both versions of Smash 4 and 11 that are exclusive to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
Both versions[edit]

---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Olimar | Fighter | N/A |
A veteran spaceship pilot for Hocotate Freight, Captain Olimar partners with Pikmin in Smash Bros. to help him in battle. Olimar is much stronger when he's got Pikmin with him, so keep them plucked and good to go. Pikmin abilities are based on their color—learn what each is best at! Captain Olimar, veteran Hocotate Freight astronaut, joins forces with Pikmin again in this game to take on the world. Olimar isn't much of an attacker without Pikmin by his side, so you should always keep some ready. Pikmin have different abilities depending on their colour, so learn how they work to use them effectively! |

Olimar (Alt.) | Fighter | N/A |
Pikmin aren't just good for attacking, you know. For example, when you throw them, they can pick up items on their way back. Only items that aren't very heavy, though! Also, if there's someone charging or shooting at you, a well-timed Pikmin throw can stop them in their tracks! Pikmin are good for more than attacking, you know. For example, when you throw them, they can pick up small items on their way back to you, or latch onto containers to break them open! Also, if there are opponents charging or shooting at you, well-timed Pikmin Throws can stop them in their tracks! Pikmin aren't just good for attacking, you know. For example, try throwing them at boxes. They'll grab them and drag them in for you, hitting enemies along the way. Also, if there's someone charging or shooting at you, a well-timed Pikmin-throw can stop them. Just don't forget to replace your Pikmin when they're gone! |

Alph | Fighter | 1500 G; 50 |
Alph is a young explorer who crashed on the planet PNF-404. As the engineer of the S.S. Drake, he feels responsible for finding the missing crew and the ship after the crash. Waking up in a pond, Alph quickly encounters a tiny creature—it's a Pikmin! A member of the crew that crash-landed on PNF-404. This young engineer is separated from the rest of his team during landing, but as an engineer, he's just as worried about their ship, the SS Drake. While looking for his crewmates and ship, Alph encounters some strange yet helpful little creatures... |
62. Space Explorer Space Explorers | ||
Red Pikmin | Fighter | ? G; — |
This Pikmin has a red body and a long, pointy nose. It was the first type of Pikmin Olimar ever met. In Smash Bros., they have the second highest attack power among the Pikmin. Like their fiery color suggests, they can attack with flames and withstand them. Telling Red Pikmin apart from the other Pikmin is easy: these ones have long, pointy noses. Also, they're red. They're the very first kind of Pikmin Olimar finds on their planet, and their high attack power makes them very useful. In this game, they can deal powerful attacks, and they're very resistant to fire damage. |
60. Pikmin | ||
Blue Pikmin | Fighter | 300 G; 5 |
This blue Pikmin walks around with its mouth ajar. At home in the water, they're very helpful when objects are submerged and need retrieving. In Smash Bros., blue Pikmin have defense second only to purple Pikmin. They are also able to do more damage when thrown, so don't be shy about hurling them at foes. The things that make blue Pikmin different from all the other Pikmin are that they have mouths and that they're pretty good swimmers. They're slightly hardier than most other Pikmin, and they do more damage when you throw them. So, as soon as you get one of these, make sure to throw it right at someone straight away! |
60. Pikmin | ||
Yellow Pikmin | Fighter | ? G; — |
This yellow Pikmin is sporting some pointy things on its head. Yellow Pikmin have big, sharp ears and conduct electricity very well. These two facts are most likely unrelated. Olimar's side special can throw this Pikmin high into the air and cause electrical damage to all fighters who stray too close! |
60. Pikmin | ||
White Pikmin | Fighter | 500 G; 10 |
These tiny, white Pikmin have bright-red eyes. They are the fastest of the Pikmin, perfect for finding and retrieving hidden treasure. In Smash Bros., you can use them to poison your enemies. Since they can fly the farthest of any Pikmin when thrown, use them to poison enemies from afar. These small, fast-footed Pikmin are white with red eyes. That ominous look they have might give you the chills, and you'd be right to be scared – the little blighters are poisonous! In this game, they'll hang on to any enemy you throw them at and generously share their venom with them. |
60. Pikmin | ||
Purple Pikmin | Fighter | 1500 G; 50 |
These purple Pikmin are the strongest, but they're also slower and heavier. In Pikmin, they can be thrown at animals to stun them! In Smash Bros., they're great for attacking and launching, but they've got a pretty short reach. Get close to your foe to make these little ones truly effective! These purple Pikmin are much stronger than their colourful counterparts, but they're also slower and heavier. In Pikmin, they can be thrown at animals to stun them! In this game, they're good at both attacking and launching, but since they haven't got good reach, you'll need to get up close and personal with your foes first! |
60. Pikmin | ||
Rock Pikmin | Series Related | 1000 G; 30 |
These Pikmin are made of solid rock, so they can stand up to a lot of attacks and won't get hurt when they get stepped on. They specialize in body blows, dealing a lot of damage when thrown, and they can also break right through glass and crystal. They can't latch on to other creatures, though. But that's OK—nobody's perfect! These Pikmin are made of solid rock, so they can stand up to a lot of attacks and don't get hurt when they get stepped on. 60. Pikmin | ||
Winged Pikmin | Fighter | 1000 G; 30 |
These pink Pikmin have big, blue eyes and nice wings to help them fly. In Smash Bros., they show up to carry Olimar and friends through the air. However, how high and far they can fly is affected by how many friends they have to carry. More Pikmin will weigh them down. This particular type of Pikmin has a pink body, blue eyes and...wings? Yep, they can fly, and in this game, they can even give Olimar a lift. The only thing is they'll get tired very easily, especially if they're carrying lots of other Pikmin at the same time. Go easy on them, OK? |
60. Pikmin | ||
Hocotate Bomb | Item | 500 G; 10 |
With the outward appearance of a Hocotate Freight ship, this is actually a bomb in disguise! Arm it by throwing it on the ground, and give it a nudge if you're impatient. It'll fly up into the sky, returning a short time later and exploding. Force your foes into the landing zone! The flagship of Hocotate Freight has been reinvented as...a bomb! To arm it, throw it, then wait. Or give it a nudge – up to you. It'll shoot up in the air, then after a bit, fall back down to its starting point and go off. Try to remember where it was set off – you really don't want to get caught in the blast. |
62. Space Explorer Space Explorers | ||
Iridescent Glint Beetle | Enemy | 1500 G; 50 |
Hope you're not scared of bugs... In Pikmin, these guys drop nectar, but in Smash Run they drop coins instead. They hide, waiting for fighters to get too close...then strike! They're tough to catch, but your reward for success is coins, coins, coins. They'll slink away to sulk after being properly robbed. A golden creature from Pikmin 2. They don't pop up very often at all, but when they do, they scuttle around speedily. When you flip them over, they drop nectar and rare treasures. In Smash Bros., they appear in Smash Tour, where you can bump into them to make them drop extra fighters! Hope you're not scared of insects... These guys can drop nectar in Pikmin, but in this game, they carry coins instead. They'll leap out of the ground when a fighter gets close, and scurry around madly. They're hard to hit, but you'll just have to keep at it if you want those coins! Once they've dropped all their spoils, they'll go underground and sulk. Aw. A golden creature from Pikmin 2. They don't pop up very often at all, but when they do, they scuttle around speedily. When you flip them, they drop nectar and rare treasures. In this game, they appear in Smash Tour – bump into them to make them drop extra fighters you can take for your own. |

Bulborb | Enemy Stage |
500 G; 10 |
These creatures from the Pikmin series have snail-like protruding eyes, huge mouths, and really bad tempers. They're known for snapping at fighters and trying to trample them underfoot. If you see one in a group of enemies, you should try to take it out fast—it'll shoot off and bounce around, hitting other enemies as it goes! These creatures from the Pikmin series have snaillike protruding eyes, huge mouths, and really bad tempers. Despite their cute appearance, they'll happily gobble up Pikmin! In Smash Bros., they appear on the Garden of Hope stage, wandering around or chasing the poor Pikmin. Thankfully, they don't seem interested in the fighters duking it out. With their spotted backs and big round eyes, Bulborbs are almost cute. But don't be fooled! They have a voracious appetite, and will gladly eat as many Pikmin as they can get their tongues on. In this game, you might spot one in the Garden of Hope stage, getting in the Pikmin's way. Luckily, the Bulborbs won't bother you. Phew! |

Louie | Series Related | 300 G; 5 |
Louie worked for Hocotate Freight in Pikmin 2. His appetite has gone into overdrive in Pikmin 3. Rescued from a swarm of Scornets by Alph and crew, Louie thanked them the next day by stealing all of the food they'd collected. Maybe he should work on his manners more than getting a meal... Louie was one of the main characters from Hocotate in Pikmin 2. In Pikmin 3, he's got a super appetite, to say the least. Alph and crew saved him from a swarm of Scornets, only for him to run off with all their food the very next day! It seems like someone should think a little less about food, and a little more about apologising. |

End of Day | Final Smash |
On the planet Olimar is investigating, the native creatures become extra violent at night, forcing him to retreat to orbit every evening. His Final Smash works the same way: night falls and Olimar takes to the sky, leaving his foes to the mercy of the wildlife below. Olimar returns when dawn breaks, and you can adjust his less-than-safe landing! On the planet of the Pikmin, the native creatures get quite violent come nightfall, so Olimar retreats to orbit every evening. That's how his Final Smash works, too: Olimar takes off in his trusty Dolphin,[sic] then in come the beasties to take care of the other fighters. When Olimar returns, make sure he touches down, er...safely! |

This member of the avian family will emerge from underground, hunting for Pikmin, its favorite snack. Act fast—or this bird of prey will prey on your poor Pikmin! A strange creature that looks like it's part bird and part snake. At 35cm in length, it's fairly small by our standards, but for Pikmin, it's a towering monster! Trivia[edit]
- The End of Day trophy in the PAL version states that Olimar jumps aboard the S.S. Dolphin. In reality, the spaceship Olimar uses in his Final Smash is the Hocotate ship.
- Blue Pikmin are noted as doing more damage when thrown (via Pikmin Throw), but this is untrue - in actuality, they deal more damage by throwing opponents. Therefore, this may be a translation error.
- Olimar's alt trophy in the 3DS version is posed very similarly to his artwork from Brawl.
- Charlie and Brittany are listed under the "Stage" section even though they do not appear in Garden of Hope at all.
- On the NTSC version of the Burrowing Snagret's trophy, the description claims that it belongs to the "avian" family. In actuality, the creature belongs to the fictional "snavian" family.
- In Pikmin 3, the Quaggled Mireclops is fought in a muddy, damp area, which is depicted in the Plasm Wraith trophy (which even includes the puddles created in the mud, an important mechanic during the Quaggled Mireclops fight), even though the latter is not fought or associated with this terrain. Meanwhile, the same muddy terrain is missing from the Quaggled Mireclops trophy.
