Trivia[edit]

  • Shuton is one of eight players to have a tied record against ZeRo (with the others being Seagull Joe, Kameme, Day, falln, Darkshad, WaDi, and Trela, all 1-1).
  • When playing against Myran at Frostbite 2019, Shuton notably switched to Richter and pulled off a unique recovery by using Richter's down air on a Pikmin that was latched onto him; this has been widely viewed as one of the best off-stage recoveries in early competitive Ultimate and has since become a meme in the community.
  • "Live Shuton Reaction" has become a large-scale meme, popularized by Zomba after using it as a reply to MkLeo after beating him at Battle of BC 5, usually used to indicate Shuton's deadpan style of humor.
  • Shuton and Glutonny are the only two players that are not one of the Four Horsemen to have multiple major wins in 2023.
  • Shuton, especially when he uses Olimar, is infamous for his dominant record over European players, including being a bracket demon for Glutonny (13-1) and Sisqui (3-0). To date, only three Europeans have defeated Shuton's Olimar and won the set: Glutonny at Stunfest 2019, Bloom4Eva at L'Odyssée - Chant I, and Tarik at Port Priority 8.
  • Shuton is also known for being MkLeo's biggest bracket demon in Ultimate, as MkLeo has yet to take a single game off of Shuton.
