Mr. Resetti is a character from the Animal Crossing games. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he appears as an Assist Trophy. When he appears on a stage he emerges from the ground and lectures the fighters about various topics like assist trophies for example. His speech is seen in an animal Crossing text box at the top of the screen. His article on Smash Bros. DOJO!! portrayed him as being ignored by the other fighters while he rambled and eventually said "Kirby.... Pikachu.... You'd be runnin' home to Mama!".

Mr. Resetti also appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. To obtain the trophy in Melee, you must defeat five or more Wire Frames on Cruel Melee.
Mr. Resetti is a character in the Animal Crossing games. In both games, if the player turned the power off on the Nintendo GameCube or Nintendo DS, whenever the player walked out his or her house, he or she would come face to face with Mr. Resetti. Mr. Resetti would bother the player about how "resetting" the game is bad. He wouldn't stop annoying the player until the player apologized. Sometimes though, apologizing wouldn't be enough for Mr. Resetti and he would keep shouting and sometimes make the player say a phrase like "I'M DIRT!" or something similar. He got a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee before the GameCube Animal Crossing or Animal Crossing: Wild World came out (Because Animal Crossing had not yet been released outside of Japan at the time of Melee's release, Mr. Resetti's first appearance is listed on his trophy as "Future Release").

He also makes an appearance in [[Super Smash Bros. His large text boxes obscure a large section of the upper playing field, which can be distracting to fighters, or the lower area of the screen (depending on his position), obscuring the damage percentages. He will respond to certain events such as him falling off the playing field (on moving stages). Depending on the time of day, Mr Resetti may make a comment (For example, at night-time, Resetti tells players to "Get some shut-eye", adding that "Staying up late is for punks".
As his name suggests Mr. Resetti is a character that appears in Animal Crossing games only when the player resets the console. The next time the player plays animal Crossing after resetting the console Mr. Resetti will emerge at their door after the player leaves their house. He explains his job is to stop cheating in the game of life and tends to ramble on different topics, usually ending the conversation with advice like: "Brush your teeth before you go to bed". Mr. Resetti also suffers from a very short temper and would require the player to beg for forgiveness if resetting the console too many times. Mr. Resetti also has a mild mannered brother that works with him and makes his calls if under the weather. Resetti was created in an attempt to discourage players cheating in the game by resetting the console before saving. After facing Resetti players may reconsider powering off their Gamecube/DS without saving.

He will also do impressions of players on the field (calling them by their player name if those are being used, and usually their win screen taunt). It's possible to interact with him by attacking him, but doing so only adds to his complaining. He will also block projectiles that are thrown at him. Also, he can occasionally explode when attacked enough by players. Resetti's text box will be visible regardless of the camera position, and even shows up on Snapshots.
