Overview
Meta Knight slashes behind himself three times, in a similar manner to his forward aerial. In comparison to his forward aerial, the slashes are slower and more laggy, but the third slash has more knockback to the point where it is a more reliable KO move. Despite having sizable ending lag and landing lag, the move also has almost no startup lag (7 frames; only one frame slower than forward air's startup). The first two slashes are very useful for setting up other moves, such as forward tilts and grabs at lower percentages to rack up damage, or the back slash of a down smash at higher percentages for a KO setup.
