Olimar, known on the website as Pikmin & Olimar, was announced to be returning for Super Smash Bros. 4 on July 12th, at around 4:50am Eastern Daylight Time, on the games' official website. His reveal came one day before the release date of Pikmin 3 in Japan, which Masahiro Sakurai noted in a Miiverse post. He retains Red, Yellow, Blue, White, and Purple Pikmin.

Confirmed information

  • Slight aesthetic changes to match Olimar's Pikmin 3 character design; a visible whistle is part of Olimar's helmet and Purple Pikmin have slightly different proportions.
