The tournament was won by the 3rd seed, {{Sm|Doramigi}} who defeated {{Sm|GANCURO}} (115th seed) and {{Sm|Kaninabe}} (6th seed) in top 32 winner's and {{Sm|Navy}} (10th seed) in Winner's side of top 8 before meeting the the event's top seed {{Sm|Hurt}} in winner's finals. Hurt got to winner's finals by defeating  {{Sm|tameigo}} (17th seed) and {{Sm|Rarikkusu}} (8th seed) in winner's top 32 and {{Sm|Snow|p=Japan}} (4th seed) in winner's side of top 8.
Doramigi would defeat Hurt in winner's finals (3-1). However after Hurt beat Navy in Loser's finals, Hurt would win the runback in first set of grand finals (3-0) before Doramigi ultimately prevailed in the final set (3-1).
Navy, had a notable run to 3rd by beating {{Sm|Tas}} (26th seed) and {{Sm|Shion|p=Kansai}} (18th seed) in the winner's side of top 32, and Rarikkusu and Snow in loser's side of top 8.

Maesuma'U22 2 was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate superregional held in Daito-shi, Osaka, Kansai, on August 17th, 2024. It was the third Maesuma event that only allowed players that were born after 2000 to compete.

Raru, the 2nd seed of the tournament, DQ'd from the event.

The tournament was won by the 3rd seed, Doramigi who defeated GANCURO (115th seed) and Kaninabe (6th seed) in top 32 winner's and Navy (10th seed) in Winner's side of top 8 before meeting the the event's top seed Hurt in winner's finals. Hurt got to winner's finals by defeating tameigo (17th seed) and Rarikkusu (8th seed) in winner's top 32 and Snow (4th seed) in winner's side of top 8.
