Green Is the New Black was a Spirit Board event focused on spirits that are green in color. It ran from 6 a.m. on March 15, 2019 to 6 a.m. on March 18, 2019 (UTC), and was repeated on the following dates:
- 6 a.m. on May 20, 2022 to 6 a.m. on May 23, 2022 (UTC)
- 6 a.m. on May 19, 2023 to 6 a.m. on May 22, 2023 (UTC)
- 6 a.m. on May 17, 2024 to 6 a.m. on May 20, 2024 (UTC)
During the event, defeating spirits on the Spirit Board which were part of the event awarded more Gold than usual.

- Green-colored spirits have made their way to the Spirit Board! Defeat them in battle to earn more gold than usual.
- Legend-class spirits Queen Metroid, Celebi, and Link (The Legend of Zelda) will appear at set times. Check it out![1][2]
