All-Star Battle: Secret is a single-player event match in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. In it, the player must choose a character and take on the fighters who were unlockable in previous Smash Bros. games. The first are the first four unlockable characters who have been in every Smash Bros. game, though arranged according to Brawl, Ness, Luigi, Captain Falcon, and Jigglypuff, followed by Dr. Mario, being unlockable in Melee, and the last being R.O.B., Toon Link, and Sonic, who were unlockable in Brawl.

Progression[edit]

This event is unlocked when Enough with the Kidnapping is cleared and R.O.B. is unlocked. Completing the event does not unlock any further paths.

Clearing the event on normal or hard difficulty awards an Auto-Healer Tie equipment. Clearing the event on hard difficulty also awards the Shadow trophy on the challenge board.

Trivia[edit]

  • The music used in this event, Credits (Smash Bros.): Ver. 2, normally plays on Battlefield, rather than Onett.
  • Dr. Mario and R.O.B. are the only characters in this event that remain unlockable in both versions of SSB4.
    • Ness and Jigglypuff are unlockable in the 3DS version of SSB4.
  • This is the only All-Star event in the post Melee era set on the home stage of one of the opponents (Onett being the home stage of Ness).
  • Marth, Mr. Game & Watch, Falco, Ganondorf, and Lucario do not appear in this event, despite also debuting as unlockable fighters in their respective installments. The first four appear in All-Star Battle: Melee, while the latter appears in All-Star Battle: Brawl.
