It was a qualifier for the Panda Cup circuit, where the top non-qualified player qualified for the Panda Cup Finale. The tournament had a $10,000 prize pool, was capped at 512 entrants, and was only available to residents of the United States, Canada, and Mexico due to PAX rules.
