Trivia
- Although Hero was absent from the preceding decade tournaments due to the Luminary, the default costume debuting in 2017, he was not present in this tourney. It is possible that Hero as a general concept, not as a person, is regarded to be from the 1980s, though Hero was also not present in the Bringing Back the '80s tourney. It should be noted that since version 8.0.0 (which was released after prior decade tourneys), Hero's All-Star Smash placement has been shifted to match the debut year of Erdrick, the oldest hero, rather than the Luminary, the default.
- Alph is the only character originating from the 2010s not playable in the event, due to him being an alternate costume of Olimar.
- While Minecraft was first publicly released in its alpha form in 2009, this event and All-Star Smash base it on the official release date in 2011.
- DLC stages Small Battlefield,Mementos, Yggdrasil's Altar, Garreg Mach Monastery, Spring Stadium, Minecraft World and Cloud Sea of Alrest are the only stages from a 2010s game that were not present in the event.
- Living Room was the only stage present in the event to not debut in a 2010s game. Although it is specifically based off of Nintendogs + Cats, released in 2011, the general concept first appeared in the original Nintendogs, released in 2005.
