While I lament that the move Hydro Pump has been switched over to a not-often-seen legendary Pokémon rather than a more common Blastoise-family member, Kyogre is much more effective than its volcanic counterpart, Groudon (and I'm glad both of them finally transitioned to the Smash Bros. series). Kyogre damages foes on contact (which is Groudon's sole function in Brawl) and bothers to actually move around the stage, in addition to blasting opponents off the stage with water. Groudon, however, just...sits there using "Overheat", with his true effectiveness mainly being restricted to small stages. And in the actual Pokémon handheld game series, Kyogre freaking decimates much of the opposition compared to Groudon. In any case, both of these Pokémon are awesome (with an excellent ominous battle theme in the Pokémon games and the Pokémon anime, to boot), but Kyogre gains a major edge. 72.3.33.15 14:10, 2 May 2012 (EDT) Kyogre easely blows Groudon out of the water. It seems wrong to exclude Rayquaza from the match, as a relationship has been established among Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza (most evident in the legends/stories of Pokémon Emerald Version). I like the Fire Flower's design a bit more (especially in SSB Brawl), and the flames that it spews/secretes are amazing against foes that are backed into a corner/against a wall. Also, whenever you or your teammate is Ness or Lucas during matches, the Fire Flower does wonders when PSI Magnet is used to absorb the flames. I also like his taunts and general personality (or at least what we can discern of him from his appearances in the SSB series). Unleashing Dancing Blade skillfully on opponents is also fun to perform, as well as landing sweetspotted offensives correctly. Additionally, Marth comes with a sword, which practically seals the deal right there. Although Lucas's fully-charged Up Smash attack and PK Starstorm Final Smash are quite admirable in terms of strength... They change for each character you fight on Shadow Moses Island, whereas Star Fox just for each Star Fox character you fight AS.
