Trivia
- This tournament continued the "2GG curse", in which no Saga has ever been won by a featured player of the tournament. YB, the highest placing player who only used characters from the Metroid series, placed 13th.
- Nairo, who used Zero Suit Samus in pools, placed 4th, but was disqualified from breaking the curse as he used primarily Palutena on the second day of the tournament.
- This was the first American major tournament since Super Smash Con 2017 for Smash 64 to feature an all Japanese Grand Finals for singles.
- In August 2019, CaptainZack admitted to blackmailing Ally to intentionally lose against Zackray in Winners Semifinals.
