Daisy is a playable newcomer character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. An Echo Fighter of Peach, her appearance in the game was announced on June 12th, 2018. Deanna Mustard reprises her role as Daisy from previous Mario games.
Differences from Peach
General
- Daisy is slightly shorter than Peach, as she is in most Mario series games
Aesthetics
- Daisy has a more energetic idle stance, with her arms held up by her side.
- Daisy uses a Blue Toad instead of a red one.
- Daisy has flower and petal effects for her attacks instead of hearts.
- Daisy has different taunts and victory animations. Her intro is different as well.
Aerial attacks
- During her up aerial, Daisy performs two rainbow attacks instead of one.
Special moves
- During her neutral special, Daisy looks towards the Blue Toad attacking her opponent instead of closing her eyes.
- Daisy's variant of Peach Bomber shoots foes downward instead of upward.
- Daisy's right arm is bent during her parasol descent, whilst's Peach's arm is straight.
Alternate Costumes
- Default: Based on her design in the Mario series used since Mario Party 4.
- White: Resembles a wedding gown. It is complimentary to Peach's white costume.

Trivia
- One of Daisy's victory animations is reminiscent of her celebration animation from Mario Golf: World Tour.
- Daisy's pose for one of her unique animations matches promotional artwork of her first used for Mario Kart 7. It is unclear whether this is a taunt or an idle.
- Daisy was the second newcomer announced for Ultimate. This marks only the second time a new clone character for a Smash title had been announced before the game launched, with the last time being Lucina in SSB4.
- Daisy is the fourth female Mario representative after Peach, Rosalina, and Wendy.
- As Peach's orange color in Melee changed her dress, skin tone, gloves, brooches, and crown to match Daisy's (at the time), Daisy is technically the second character to be playable after appearing as an alternate color, following Dark Pit's appearance in SSB4.
- It's worth noting that Peach's orange color was changed to a more simplistic recolor in both Brawl and SSB4.
