United Kingdom and Ireland
The United Kingdom and Ireland is a Smash region that encompasses the countries of the same names. The region itself is often divided into 12 smaller regions: Ireland, Northern Ireland, London, East of England, Midlands, North East England, North West England, Scotland, South East England, South West England, Wales, and Yorkshire and the Humber. Despite being different countries, United Kingdom and Ireland are often combined as a single competitive region due to the countries' close proximity to each other.
The United Kingdom and Ireland, especially the former, have historically featured some of Europe's best players for each Smash game, most notably Professor Pro for Melee, IxisNaugus for Smash 4, and Bloom4Eva for Ultimate. The region has also hosted several notable Smash tournament series, including those in the Albion, Fête, Heir, and Kickstart series.
