Quick thing on characters

We don't include characters used outside of tournament. That includes the one ZeRo used against ANTi in his iron man video. CookiesCreme 14:27, September 13, 2020 (EDT)

Smasher characters

I've noticed you've been changing the characters on Smasher pages and the like. A quick thing, please make sure the player you make the change actually seriously plays that character. A few changes I had to revert:

• ESAM rarely pulls out Ice Climbers at serious tournaments, so he shouldn't be considered "one of the best," especially when dedicated Ice Climber mains such as Big D, Kie, and Salva have performed very well solo or co-maining Ice Climbers.
• We never consider Wi-Fi Warriors for "professionals" since those are reserved for offline players. Therefore, ZeRo shouldn't be considered a Mario professional.
• On team pages we generally only list the mains and dedicated secondaries of players who have seriously played that game. Therefore, M2K shouldn't be listed with Smash 64 Kirby, ESAM shouldn't be listed with Smash 4 Corrin and Mewtwo, Plup shouldn't be listed with Melee Luigi and Smash 4 Pikachu, Marss shouldn't be listed with Smash 4 Lucario and Ultimate Mega Man and Captain Falcon, and Cosmos shouldn't be listed with Smash 4 Pikachu.
  • Speaking of Mew2King, he hasn't used Fox as a serious main in a while, instead pulling him out when he fights Jigglypuff. As such, we don't consider Fox one of Mew2King's mains.

A quick reminder, just because a player has used the character once or twice doesn't mean it's a serious secondary. If you want some more information, I posted the same stuff on BlueFlash's page. CookiesCreme 22:41, September 15, 2020 (EDT)

Ok, thanks for telling. But I just wanted to let you know that Plup's SSB4 Pikachu was already there when I went to edit it TheGuyNamedEliYT (talk) 08:48, September 16, 2020 (EDT)

I also just noticed that you added Pichu as one of Maister's professional characters. First, Maister not only didn't win the game with Pichu, but he ended up losing the set, so that shouldn't be a reason for the category. Second, since Squad Strike is a side event we usually do not consider those characters when adding professional categories. CookiesCreme 09:24, November 17, 2020 (EST)

New guidelines on characters

I'd recommend reading this before adding more characters. Just because a player has used a character a few times doesn't mean it should be added into the infobox. CookiesCreme 23:12, October 23, 2021 (EDT)
