Notices
The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

The meaning[edit]

Enemy HP plus various stats have a base and a scale. For example, Primids have a base HP of 10 and an HP scale of 1.4. So if the difficulty factor is 2.5, their HP will be 13.5.

The problem of course is mapping the difficulty factor used to the stage and difficulty chosen. From what I can tell, increasing the difficulty results in enemies having a higher level but keeping the same spread. Specifically, one example is Primids in The Plain: the factors that affect their HP match the values in the difficulty table for Spread A1 for levels 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15; whereas Primids on The Glacial Peak use Spread A3 (same levels).

The factor affects the following (if the enemy is set to do so):

  • HP
  • Damage dealt (is rounded down after being scaled but before sticker resistances are applied)
  • Knockback dealt (all three values can be affected)
  • Hitbox size (very few enemies use this)
  • Weight (possibly)
  • Flinch resistance

The knowns[edit]

By watching some playthroughs on YouTube, I'm going through the process of collecting data of the damage done by attacks. The following are the values of the highest certainty (at least one value has only one or two possibilities).

A number in [square brackets] denotes that this is not the value, but instead a range of possible values. For example, a [5] denotes that there are 5 possible values. Rollover the number to see the possible values.
