Hello, flat zoners! The name is Bakawaka, also known as MickMick247 from DeviantArt. I lead the two-dimensional figure, Mr. Game & Watch, as the all-time main of mine in every single Super Smash Bros. game. However, while Mr. Game & Watch is typically my number-one main, I also pick up a lot of other interesting characters in the roster, like Pac-Man, Ness, Lucas, Ice Climbers, Banjo & Kazooie, Kirby, etc. In addition, I also love to try out a lot of low-tiers and/or underrated characters that have high potential, but are underestimated by their weaknesses across the entire franchise and master them at full level to show what kind of skill they got in their disposal, like Ness and Mr. Game & Watch in Melee, Mr. Game & Watch, Ness, Yoshi and Lucas in Brawl, Pac-Man and Mr. Game & Watch in SSB4, and Ice Climbers, Lucas and Kirby in Ultimate.
For commentary of Super Smash Brothers, it is without a doubt my most favourite game ever. I have tons of fun playing it all the time. While Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is easily my favourite one due to all my mains being featured in it, I do enjoy revising older Smash games, like Melee and especially Brawl, the latter is because of the epic Subspace Emissary, as well as the characters looking more interesting compared to later games! However, a lot of tier lists in the entire franchise have not been kind to some of my characters I love using, such as Kirby, Ness, Lucas, Ice Climbers and most importantly, King Dedede, who is bottom 3 in Ultimate right now. Also, Mr. Game & Watch dropped from top-tier all the way to upper mid-tier/lower high-tier in the Brawl tier list because he was "overrated" and was considered a low mid-tier in Smash 4, so I'm offended by that by an inch.
Additionally, I play a lot of low/mid-tiers or characters I think are underrated to beat every single matchup that is difficult for them to outmatch. For example, Mr. Game & Watch had a negative matchup against Sheik/Zelda and Ice Climbers in Melee, while I tried those matchups out and, well... they were nothing!
So yeah, that's me!
Mains
Mr. Game & Watch is the all-time leader of my mains.
- Reason: his KO power is awesome, his damage output and combos are super extreme, his moveset is so interesting and versatile, his two-dimensional nature makes him so fascinating, his mobility is as quick as Mario's in all Smash Bros. games, he shows rad disrespect and he is all-round excellent in everything.
Pac-Man is my secondary pick.
- Reason: PAC-MAN's damage-racking game is up the top, and he can play mindgames and tricks with his projectiles very well. While he only has few reliable KO options and his grab was so neutered in Smash 4, as well as his below-par range, not everything is so troublesome with him so much. He is quite mobile and quick on his feet and movement, he attacks so quickly, and he is just so fun to play as and watch, especially in SSB4.
Ness and Lucas are my counterpicks.
- Reason: ever since Brawl, most of the recent tier lists have undeterred the two PK Kids because of their unusually long grab releases compared to the rest of the cast, so I mained Ness and Lucas because of that because those two are possibly the most underrated characters in Brawl. I played them, and they're actually a lot better than most people think about them. The PK Kids have so much good traits, such as their awesome aerial games, high KO power, versatile special moves and of course, the two excel devastatingly in grabs. I played Ness and Lucas and beat out a lot of matchups they struggled against, even their worst ones, like Marth and Donkey Kong. In Ultimate, I personally like playing Lucas more than Ness, because he is generally considered inferior compared to him, but I think he is at the same level of viability Ness is in Ultimate. While Ness was considered a low-tier in Melee, I like playing him nevertheless and, despite his disastrous recovery, his combo game coupled with DJC is probably among the best, his KO power is far from mediocre, and his yo-yo glitch is what makes Ness possibly the most insane character in Melee. All in all, Ness and Lucas are basically the pinnacle of how solid a high-tier can be in every game.
Ice Climbers are my secondary counterpicks.
- Reason: Ice Climbers have been nerfed possibly the hardest out of any character in the transition to Ultimate, although not to the extent of Bayonetta and Mewtwo from Smash 4 in terms of declines between tier lists, but I think they still have the ability to beat out every matchup with their desyncs. In Brawl and Melee, they used to have some of the best damage-racking abilities in the game due to chain grabing and wobbling, respectively. Unfortunately, that all went away in the next game, but they still have only one tactic to perform combos that no other character can outperform: desynching. Personally, I like comparing the Ice Climbers with Kirby in terms of everything, mobility, attack speed, strengths, weaknesses, you name it. In my opinion, the duo might be either high-tier or at the bottom of top-tier in Ultimate. Too high for them to be viable? Whatever.
