UltCore Fourth was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate supermajor held in Nagoya, Aichi on November 24th, 2024. This is the largest tournament located in Chūbu to date and the first supermajor to be hosted in the Chūbu region of Japan.

Tournament summary

Although this tournament was prone to a huge number of upsets, only 3 of the top 8 seeds didn't make into top 8, #6 seed Snow, #4 seed Asimo and #8 seed Akakikusu. Snow reach winner's quarters but lost back to back sets to #3 seed Raru and #5 seed Doramigi in game 5 sets to finish 9th, the third time in a row were Snow finished 9th at a Japanese major. Asimo lost to #20 seed alice 1-3 (upset factor 5) and #26 seed Navy 0-3 (UF 6) for 17th and Akakikusu lost very early to #136 seed Kono's Captain Falcon 0-2 (UF 9, the biggest of the tournament), and after a six sets loser's run, lost to another Captain Falcon, this time #23 seed Jogibu 0-3 (UF 3) for 17th. Replacing them were #20 seed alice, #12 seed Ryuoh and #9 seed Yoshidora. While alice finished 7th, losing to #12 seed Ryuoh and #1 seed acola, Ryuoh also send Doramigi into loser's prematurely 3-0 to reach winner's semi-finals, were he lost back to back sets to Yoshidora 1-3 and Doramigi in the runback 0-3 for 5th. Lastly, Yoshidora notably defeated the first seed acola in winner's quarters (UF 6), the second time this season, ending his run at 3rd, losing in winner's finals to Raru 0-3 and in loser's finals to Doramigi 2-3, his best result since Kagaribi 11 a year ago.

In top 8, Raru swept Hurt and Yoshidora 3-0 to reach winner side grand finals. In loser side, acola lost 1-3 to Doramigi (UF 4) for 4th place, his worst result at a ranked japanese tournament since his 9th place at Seibugeki 12 in December 2022. Doramigi ultimately reached grand finals loser side against Raru after a 7 sets loser's run, which includes wins over Navy, Snow, #7 seed TamaPDaifuku, Ryuoh and Yoshidora. Despite resetting the bracket 3-2, Raru won the reset 3-1, claiming his and Luigi's first supermajor win.

Seed 52 DieGorou not only made a upset-heavy run, but also the longest loser's run of the tournament. He lost in his second set to #77 seed Tsukasa 0-2, and reached 9th place with a 8 sets loser's run, notably defeating #24 seed Yone_pi 3-0 (UF 3), #19 seed Shirayuki 3-1 (UF 3) and #33 seed Nyonoknb 3-2 before losing to alice in a close game 5 set. Jogibu also made a notable run to ninth place, his best placement since his victory at Sumabato SP 43 almost a year ago, upsetting Akakikusu but also #10 M0tsunabE 3-1, only losing to TamaPDaifuku and acola.

The main underperformances outside of top 8 are #10 M0tsunabE, losing to Jogibu 1-3 and Navy (UF 3) for 25th, #13 seed Lv.1, who lost to Tsukasa 1-3 (UF 5) and #30 seed Reno 1-3, #15 seed Raki, losing sets to #50 seed Metara 0-3 (UF 4) and Nyonknb 2-3 (UF 3), #18 seed Karaage, dropping sets to Metara 0-3 (UF 3) and #59 seed Mark 2-3 (UF 3), all three finishing at 33rd, and #21 seed Gackt, being sent to loser's by #44 seed Sidarezakura 2-3 and #60 seed Lapi 2-3 (UF 3), to finish 49th, his worst placement since Umebura SP 10 in January 2024.
