General Page

Should the character also get her own generalized page? Hard to word, but I mean one with information not just exclusive to Smash. MarioGalaxyTalk 12:14, 18 December 2013 (EST)

As with all characters, yes. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Boss 12:16, 18 December 2013 (EST)

"Huge" size

I'm feeling like that is just an awkward adjective to use. Perhaps 'tall' would be better? I'm not sure exactly what I'm going off of, but 'huge' just feels wrong, as if it implies she's Ganondorf or Bowser or something, and doesn't really fit Rosalina. She is a large character, but 'huge' would imply she has bulk, which she doesn't really have. I think 'tall' might be a better word. So . . .? — Jigglypuff the Magic Dragon (talk) Jigglypuff the Magic Dragon sig.png 11:15, 23 December 2013 (EST)

Sakurai even uses "tall" himself, so there's no reason not to use it over "huge". Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 11:18, 23 December 2013 (EST)

Luma Shot

Sakurai refers to one of the screenshots (Jan 21st) depicting a move called the "Luma Shot". Is that enough to name the move and use it as a caption for the screenshot, listed under known information, ect, or are the words "This is the Luma Shot" not clear enough? I'm curious because nobody mentioned it in the atricle yet. 174.6.89.112 13:52, 24 January 2014 (EST)

Or will Rosalina and Luma be the top tiers of SSB4? Anyone want to discuss what their potential is? Requiem of Ice (talk) 00:13, 1 March 2014 (EST)

SW:TALK. Competitive analysis will have to wait for the games' release. Miles (talk) 00:21, 1 March 2014 (EST)
Of course, but from what I've seen so far, she's going to be my reliable main. But I will wait, if needed. Requiem of Ice (talk) 14:00, 1 March 2014 (EST)

For those who are wondering...

We're using "Rosalina" and not "Rosalina & Luma" for a few reasons. Most notably is the precedent: "Pikmin & Olimar" was the term used universally before Brawl's release, but the game itself used just "Olimar". Additionally, the page is already marked with the unofficial name icon, to make clear that the shorter name not strictly the official one. Miles (talk) 19:27, 9 April 2014 (EDT)

Well we've seen the roster now, and Pikmin & Olimar did indeed change to Olimar, but Rosalina did not do the same thing. I always thought it was too speculative to cut Luma from the title, and now I feel even more strongly that we should change the name to Rosalina & Luma (SSB4) Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatum 15:09, 10 June 2014 (EDT)
Rosalina & Luma (SSB4) should be the title now that the demo showed that as her player name. SeanWheeler (talk) 18:38, 11 June 2014 (EDT)
I don't really want the page to be renamed, but due to the article titles policy, I agree. Red (talk) Red 22:20, 24 June 2014 (EDT)
Yeah, we probably should change it. Rosalina and Luma have different names in Japan, so it's not like they named her that way in the demo because it meant fewer announcer voice clips or anything. FirstaLasto 20:19, 1 July 2014 (EDT)
So are we going to wait for the game's release to move her? During the big release code red while we're busy updating the whole site? SeanWheeler (talk) 20:52, 18 July 2014 (EDT)
I'll probably not manage to accomplish anything in saying this, but I think we should keep this page's name as just Rosalina, because, even after "Rosalina and Luma" was confirmed to be the official name of the character, Rosalina is generally still the community-accepted name. I know it's true that people also shorten names for characters like King Dedede and Zero Suit Samus, but for Rosalina it's much, much more widespread. And, to me, the fact that we had 'Rosalina' as the name of this page even when the trailer clearly gave her the name 'Rosalina and Luma' is the kicker. Besides, Smash Wiki is not official. Nymbare and his talk 11:22, 23 July 2014 (EDT)

(resetting indent) The page naming policy states that character pages should be named as how they are named in-game. We believed that it would be changed to Rosalina, like how Pikmin & Olimar was changed to Olimar in non-Japanese versions of Brawl, so we simply named it "Rosalina". However, we were incorrect. Red (talk) Red 19:13, 24 July 2014 (EDT)

Support Agree with Red. Awesomelink234 (talk) 22:20, 24 July 2014 (EDT)

I'm opposed to the move still for the time being. Honestly, we should just throw the unofficial icon up in the corner and leave it at that. Miles (talk) 22:23, 24 July 2014 (EDT)

Support Awesomelink234 (talk) 22:29, 24 July 2014 (EDT)
I support the move as well, per the policy. It'll be a lot of work changing every link, but we might as well get started now. Blue Ninjakoopa 22:37, 24 July 2014 (EDT)
I Support moving it to "Rosalina and Luma (SSB4)" as well Laikue (talk) 22:43, 24 July 2014 (EDT)
Oppose. It could very well change when the game is released. RickTommy 23:49, 24 July 2014 (EDT)
Strong Support We (I say 'we' through grated teeth) were silly to assume that the character would be called 'Rosalina' when every single source called the character 'Rosalina & Luma'. There was no evidence of any name other than Rosalina & Luma. It's highly unlikely that the name will change now, even the announcer says Rosalina & Luma. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatum 14:31, 25 July 2014 (EDT)
Oppose A part of me feels this move is too much. Besides, not much people use "Rosalina & Luma"; they usually mention just Rosalina herself. Marking it as unofficial lingo like Miles suggested could suit it better, and it takes less effort. Berrenta (talk) 15:41, 25 July 2014 (EDT)
But should Rosalina & Luma be treated like ukemi or strong attack? SW:OFFICIAL is a legitimate argument against the move, especially since the community refers to her as just "Rosalina", but I think Rosalina is a special case since she's a significant, playable character. Blue Ninjakoopa 15:53, 25 July 2014 (EDT)

Support Assuming I'm supporting the move, anyhow. The official name is Rosalina & Luma in-game. ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching... 16:47, 25 July 2014 (EDT)

Oppose per Berrenta. Since a vast majority of people call her "Rosalina", I'm thinking we could do what we did for SSB4... mark it as unofficial due to how well it's known by society. Qwerty (talk) 01:44, 31 July 2014 (EDT)

Support The consensus here is strongly in favor of renaming and while I call Rosalina just that, the fighter's name officially is Rosalina & Luma. Those who are saying this fighter is more commonly called Rosalina than Rosalina & Luma forget that other characters' names are shortened, e.g. Falcon, Zamus, Trainer, Jiggly, DK, Diddy etc. and here they are called Captain Falcon, Zero Suit Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Jigglypuff, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. RoyboyX Talk 00:33, 1 August 2014 (EDT)

Is there a protection on moving the page? RoyboyX Talk 00:16, 5 August 2014 (EDT)
There is. However, I still feel we shouldn't move, especially since the game's not out yet. Berrenta (talk) 01:10, 5 August 2014 (EDT)
And I think that's a TERRIBLE idea, as everyone is going to be VERY busy during that time updating the site with the massive amount of information we're going to have to add. Laikue (talk) 01:38, 5 August 2014 (EDT)
Yeah, Laikue has a good point; the longer we wait, the more work it will be to change everything that needs to be changed when the move happens. FirstaLasto 01:58, 5 August 2014 (EDT)
Motion for immediate move of Rosalina (SSB4) to Rosalina & Luma (SSB4). RoyboyX Talk 10:30, 5 August 2014 (EDT)

@Miles: the problem with the unofficial icon is that the Wii U's eShop on Smash Wii U's page has her video marked as just Rosalina. Red (talk) Red 18:29, 7 August 2014 (EDT)

Wow. A huge debate here I guess. Anyways I support the move for the official name. Plus the Luma is pretty significant to Rosalina's fighting style. Dots (talk) Link OoT Dots.PNG The Non-stick 22:17, 10 August 2014 (EDT)

Rosalina & Luma are a duo, that's why they are called such in the game. If Olimar was called Pikmin & Olimar in the game, we would rename him that too. He isn't, so we won't. As for Rosalina, SSB43DS releases in almost a month. It's not going to change. Rename this now so we don't have to deal with the conundrum of it all later. RoyboyX Talk 17:41, 11 August 2014 (EDT)

I am kinda tempted to move this now like you are due to the official name but I don't think I want to do that just yet. Who knows, many might just use the character as Rosalina instead and even the game might change it to be so. Dots (talk) Link OoT Dots.PNG The Brawl 22:44, 11 August 2014 (EDT)
I would have moved this but apparently there is protection from moving. That would probably apply to you as well. Like I said, with the release date being so close I can't see why the name would change now. RoyboyX Talk 22:51, 11 August 2014 (EDT)

Support per Dots. Chilex (talk) 21:53, 12 August 2014 (EDT)

Honestly, I support the move, but it wouldn't really matter to me. The game can call her anything it wants, I'll still call her Rosalina...but if we're going for accuracy here, it should be moved to "Rosalina & Luma (SSB4)". Aidan the Average Gamer (talk) 14:56, 14 August 2014 (EDT)

Exactly. They're a duo, the Luma is a separate entity that attacks shit. If you want to call her Rosalina go ahead, but it's not just Rosalina who's doing the fighting. RoyboyX Talk 14:59, 14 August 2014 (EDT)

Why hasn't this been moved yet? There is literally no reason this shouldn't be moved, we've seen her called Rosalina and Luma in-game, the majority of people here want it moved, waiting to move the page would just hurt the wiki, and more people call her Rosaluma outside of the game than Rosalina anyway! Should we just move it to "Rosaluma (SSB4)"? No, because that would be super unofficial. At least if you're not going to move it give a reason as to why. Laikue (talk) 15:30, 14 August 2014 (EDT)

I agree. This argument has been going on for awhile and the majority of people say Rosalina & Luma is the most accurate. Move the page, please. ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching...

Yes, please, move it. RoyboyX Talk 17:10, 14 August 2014 (EDT)

But what if the name changes at the last second? Take a look at LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean and its main character. Early game demos and and even a pre-release copy called his main outfit "Captain Jack Sparrow", while later versions called him "Jack Sparrow". Yeah, pretty bad when someone gets an early copy and the beta name is still there and post-release copies with "Captain" being cut out. Which is why I suggest we wait for October 3rd to move Rosalina. Even if someone gets a copy on October 2nd, we'd wait the next day. That way, we won't move her only to realized that Sakurai changed her at the last minute, causing two pointless moves. And besides, the Japanese release will have the bigger code red. The American will have some miner tweaks from the Japanese. SeanWheeler (talk) 11:38, 15 August 2014 (EDT)

I think we should wait. Yes, "Rosalina & Luma" will most likely be the official name when the game is released, but if it isn't and we change it beforehand, we will have created a lot of extra work for no reason. ChuckNorris24.png 13:01, 15 August 2014 (EDT)

I guess that makes vague, illogical sense. But I doubt it'll be changed. ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching...

Fine, I guess we can afford to wait a while. But if we're (supporters of the move) right about it not changing then you have to buy me the suited Samus Figma. Joking, but I don't think it will change. Although if you are generous enough I do want a Samus Figma... :P RoyboyX Talk 09:34, 16 August 2014 (EDT)

No. Now that I've thought about it, this can be renamed quite easily. And if the ingame name does change to just Rosalina when the game hits shelves (lest I repeat my view of this theory), there is an easy function called rollback. RoyboyX Talk 23:37, 22 August 2014 (EDT)

Problem is that rollback only reverts consecutive edits done by the most recent user to edit the page. If someone else edits after the move, the move cannot be rolled back. Berrenta (talk) 00:02, 23 August 2014 (EDT)
Well, I meant undo really but you get the point. I'm mainly referring to any templates, which will likely not be edited as much as her actual article. RoyboyX Talk 00:04, 23 August 2014 (EDT)
Or we can wait. The English release is in a couple months. As in, we only have six weeks. Even if she's called "Rosetta & Luma" in the Japanese release, we wait three weeks for the English release to confirm it. Also, there can be a chance that templates could be edited between the move and the moveback. Yeah, obviously to add "& Luma", but what if there was more edits to the template than that? If we move Rosalina now before the English release only for her to be renamed "Rosalina" in the final version, we would still waste work in moving. One needed move is better than two unnecessary moves. SeanWheeler (talk) 10:27, 24 August 2014 (EDT)
From what I gather, Rosalina is certainly the more popular name regardless of everything. If Nintendo changed Olimar's name to "Olimar & Pikmin", tough luck to Nintendo, because more players refer to Olimar as just Olimar. The same could be argued for Rosalina just as easily. In all honesty, I prefer a statement such as:
"Rosalina's f-smash is powerful."
over something like
"Rosalina & Luma's f-smash is powerful."
We don't really have to be technically correct according to Nintendo if everyone is just going to refer to her as Rosalina. MegaTron1XDDecepticon.png 12:20, 24 August 2014 (EDT)
Although a situation like that wouldn't occur, as Rosalina and Luma have different forward smashes. "Rosalina & Luma" would encompass the effectiveness of both attacks at once. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatum 16:35, 24 August 2014 (EDT)

At this point, a majority of users support the move. I thought the point in something like this was to decide with the majority. Yet the majority is being ignored. Just move the page. ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching... 12:27, 24 August 2014 (EDT)

We're apparently waiting for it to be released in October (or whenever we get some 100% true English leaks) as there is still a small chance it could change (doubtful, but still). I still don't think this is a good idea since it's going to be one of the most busy weeks on the wiki (behind only the Japanese releases of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, the release of the Wii U version in america will probably be less hassle, though), considering that SO MANY PEOPLE will be coming here to learn how to unlock everything and we'll have to edit the wiki with all the (as of release) changed names (example: let's assume there's a new mode called "Smash Search" but the title in America is changed to "Smash Hunt" or something.), possible changed character features (see: List_of_regional_version_differences_(SSBM)#Character-specific_differences), and changed features (such as a hazard being removed from Spirit Train, or something). Laikue (talk) 20:19, 24 August 2014 (EDT)

This page should have always been named Rosalina & Luma. Yeah okay, it would have been reasonable to assume a change later since was the case with Olimar, but the char select screens we've seen showed that name. I don't need to repeat my other arguments. I have a question to everyone who thinks we should wait: what happens if the name does not change? We've wasted all this time bickering, right? RoyboyX Talk 20:15, 24 August 2014 (EDT)

RoyBoyX has a point. Why bother waiting? We've already spent enough time arguing. Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 20:18, 24 August 2014 (EDT)

I feel like this is a similar discussion with Talk:Double jump. It's like either going with the official term or go with the more proper and/or popular term and I see that as a hard decision. We should probably keep the page as is until we actually get the correct term. Dots (talk) Link OoT Dots.PNG The Scientist 22:00, 24 August 2014 (EDT)
Dots hit the nail on head. Better to do one move a little later than rush to do it now with the possibility of having to go back and do it all twice, and that's aside from the possibility of leaving it here anyway under unofficial status. Miles (talk) 22:11, 24 August 2014 (EDT)
That's ridiculous, though! We had voting on it, and a majority of people say to move it. There's quite a few supports on here. At this point, it's not going to be changed, and if we don't move it prior to the blast of information from the release of the game, it'll never be moved. I thought these move-things were designed as a "majority rules"-type thing. But apparently it isn't. ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching...
It's based on both majority and the quality of the arguments. And yes, this will get moved. Hopefully, name protection will be dropped later, and the second it is I will rename this. RoyboyX Talk 11:22, 25 August 2014 (EDT)
Just because it doesn't get moved prior to the blast of information doesn't mean it will never get moved. It will be moved after the English version is released and the blast of information comes from the Japanese version, three weeks before the English version. I'm sorry if the majority want it as Rosalina & Luma, but with the English release just next month, why not just wait instead of risking two moves? SeanWheeler (talk) 11:39, 25 August 2014 (EDT)
I'm going to wait. I'm just hoping everyone who thinks we should wait are aware of the possibility that the name will not change in the final release and we've thus wasted all this time. RoyboyX Talk 12:17, 25 August 2014 (EDT)

If the name in the Japanese 3DS version proves to be "Rosetta & Chiko" on release date, will that be enough to put this to rest? RoyboyX Talk 22:41, 9 September 2014 (EDT)

No, mostly because Olimar is Pikmin and Olimar in Japan, we just have to wait for Sakurai to show the English CSS or something.... Laikue (talk|contribs) 22:43, 9 September 2014 (EDT)

Honestly, no; take a look at Olimar in Brawl. In Japan, he was referred to as "Pikmin & Olimar", whereas in America, he was referred to as just Olimar. Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 22:44, 9 September 2014 (EDT)

And Charizard is Lizardon and King Dedede is Dedede. We really have to wait for October 3rd to move this. SeanWheeler (talk) 18:53, 12 September 2014 (EDT)
That's not even mentioning Robin, Greninja, Bowser, Villager, and Mega Man. We'll just have to wait and see. Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 18:56, 12 September 2014 (EDT)

Okay, but Duck Hunt is still named as Duck Hunt here and not Duck Hunt Dog. RoyboyX Talk 13:36, 13 September 2014 (EDT)

Because the name "Duck Hunt" was seen in the ESRB leak. SeanWheeler (talk) 15:31, 15 September 2014 (EDT)
Olimar was revealed on the DOJO!! as "Pikmin & Olimar" to North American audiences (Japanese language version also showed him as "Pikmin & Olimar", I believe), so "Rosalina & Luma" could easily come to be Japan-only lingo. My opinion now is that I think we should wait until the game is released in NA. Blue Ninjakoopa 16:17, 15 September 2014 (EDT)
I'm with Blue Ninjakoopa. I say we wait until the actual release in NA. We've only got like, what, 17 days until the release? We can wait until then. Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 16:46, 15 September 2014 (EDT)

Okay, this is my first time doing this but I need to do it anyways. I've seen this discussion go on long enough. I can't believe how ridiculous it is that we're waiting until the US release when all the evidence and facts are right in front of our faces. We've seen from the OFFICIAL FINAL BUILD of the of the game on Nintendo's Twitch stream that the final name is Rosalina & Luma. The Twitch stream: [1] (Skip to 1:33:08). Here's an image: [2]. If that isn't enough evidence, then how about the demo? They demo, as we know is coming out this Friday, and even it shows "Rosalina & Luma" as the official name. I've gotten the demo earlier and here's an image [3]. Besides the name, the voice actor is not Laura Faye Smith, it is Kerri Kane (on 3DS). You see it in the credits and here's an image: [4]. If this doesn't convince you guys, then I don't know what will. It's like you guys are in denial about this until you get the game in your hands. Unbelievable. - Shirma Akayaku from Smashboards. 18:05, 17 September 2014 (EDT)

Thank you. Copies of the game are being shipped for mass export now, so development is done. The name is Rosalina & Luma. Please, remove the protection already. RoyboyX Talk 18:18, 17 September 2014 (EDT)

I think this is enough evidence for a move to Rosalina & Luma. It's time. Rtzxy Signature SmashBall.jpeg Smashing! 18:20, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
I still say not yet because of LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean's naming of Captain Jack Sparrow. The demo released a week before LPOTC called him "Captain Jack Sparrow". The final version had him as just "Jack Sparrow". Even someone with an early copy had him with the beta name. I'm not making us wait because I prefer "Rosalina", I'm making us wait because I've seen a last second name-change. We're moving it at October 3rd. No early. If we move now and they decide to pull a last minute change like TT Games did with Jack Sparrow, well that would be two moves wasted. So it is too early. Just be patient. SeanWheeler (talk) 18:38, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
Although you're taking about the demo / beta, I'm pretty sure the demo is the exact representation of the full game. The Nintendo reps on the stream said it themselves that they are playing the FINAL RETAIL VERSION of the game. I honestly don't see why they would change it at this point. The announcer voice for Rosalina & Luma is set in place and we're rapidly approach the release date. It doesn't make any sense as to why they would do a last second change since Luma is such a vital part of Rosalina. You could say the same for Pikmin & Olimar, but at this point we are not even discussing it since the name is set to Olimar and that's what shown in-game of the final version as well as the voice announcer calling him "Olimar". If we wait, it's guaranteed that the name will not change. Ultimately, I don't know what else to tell you. If you really need the game in your hands, in front of your face, to re-verify information that we already know, then by all means go ahead and slow us all down. - Shirma Akayaku from Smashboards. 19:25, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
When it gets moved will not be an issue to deal with because currently no one except an admin can make the change. That's what I am pressing for. RoyboyX Talk 19:55, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
here is the demo for LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean that came out just a few days before release. Watch Captain Jack Sparrow's name flash as the player switches to him at 9:52. Now where is that guy who had an early copy? Hmm, maybe it was removed from YouTube, but I definately saw a Let's Play with Jack Sparrow's demo name. If TT Games could make a last second change with Jack Sparrow, what's stopping Nintendo from doing the same thing with Rosalina? All they have to do is change letters in an interface and cut audio in half when the announcer says her name. That Pirates Demo came out only five days before the games release. That's right. FIVE DAYS! That leaves little room for development time. How did TT games manage to remove Jack's title at the last minute? Especially with Jack liking to be a Captain? Anyway, that example tells us to not jump the gun. We should be ready for anything. We should be ready for both possibilities of whether her name changes or not. If I wasn't such a LEGO fan who had seen this change before, I would be supporting the move. In fact, when October 3 comes, I will urge you move it. But until then, Jack Sparrow proves a last minute change to a name is possible. They may "confirm" that they are playing the final version, but one person got the final version of LPOTC early and it had a beta element like Jack's name. I'm sorry. I wouldn't be doing this if I've seen this happen before. SeanWheeler (talk) 21:19, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
I love how you're comparing Nintendo do LEGO. Makes no sense. I say we change it now. The demo (which I have right in front of me) clearly says "Rosalina & Luma", so I don't know why we're arguing when we have (as of now) the closest thing to the final release. Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 18:45, 19 September 2014 (EDT)
Well, the similarities are that they are both games. If developers of one game makes a last minute change, what's stopping Nintendo from doing it? Sure the demo says "Rosalina & Luma," but the final game will be released in a couple weeks. I've already seen this happen with another game. Not even an early copy can stop a possible change. This page is moving on October 3. No earlier. Now if we had her named "Rosalina & Luma (SSB4)", we wouldn't be arguing about it. But the guy who started the page had to name her "Rosalina (SSB4)" and my memory of LEGO Pirates changing Jack Sparrow at the last second is getting in the way, and we are so close to the release. And besides, Sakurai has trolled us in the pics of the day and the April Direct. SeanWheeler (talk) 19:03, 19 September 2014 (EDT)

(resets indent) Sakurai has never trolled us with a character name. He's always been straight forward. And, it *could* be changed on Oct. 2nd, as Germany gets the game on that day (and her name is unchanged on the German site), and considering how I know someone who lives in Germany, I say we wait until the 2nd, not the 3rd. I do respect your opinions (that's just the type of guy that I am), so it's not like I'm saying "lel ur wrong coz wut u say iznt wut i say". As a matter of fact, I'm not even saying you're wrong. Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 19:14, 19 September 2014 (EDT)

We know, but some users are insisting we wait until October 2/3, or until tons of other content has been documented. But I really don't think it will change to "Rosalina" in the final game. Just let me or someone change it right now. RoyboyX Talk 21:02, 20 September 2014 (EDT)
Honestly, we all know that it won't change, but there is still a one in a million chance that it will. I highly suggest that we still wait until the 3rd, Sakurai might even change it due to fan appeal..... though unlikely. Also, someone should probably archive this talk page once this whole section is said and done, since the page is getting huge. Laikue (talk|contribs) 23:09, 20 September 2014 (EDT)
While it may seem unlikely to change now, I still take into account of how amazingly quick Jack Sparrow was renamed in LEGO Pirates. Not even October 2 would completely guarantee "Rosalina & Luma" would remain. Personally, I'd like this page to be named properly. But I do not want two moves wasted all because Sakurai somehow changes Rosalina faster than TT changed Jack. And usually, I'm a very impatient person. I want to see people play the English 3DS version now! In fact, I want the Wii U version now! All this waiting is making me stressed, and I'm doing it to myself all because I saw this kind of thing happen to a completely unrelated game. You can call me a hypocrite. But waiting for October 3 is the professional way to go. We didn't make SSB4 pages for the unlockable characters until people in Japan got the game, despite the roster getting leaked earlier. And since someone's early copy of LEGO Pirates called Jack "Captain Jack Sparrow", an early copy that says "Rosalina & Luma" on October 2 is just as reliable as Wikipedia. Only on October 3 can the name be fully confirmed. At least I'm only having us wait for October 3, and not for when a patched copy renames her (as that could mean we'll never move it) or the Wii U version which is a longer wait. In fact, October 3 is only 13 days. It's the following Friday. Man, I wish time could go faster. SeanWheeler (talk) 23:30, 20 September 2014 (EDT)

In the Demo, selecting rosalina will say "Rosalina & Luma" , but it cant be used—Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.76.179.136 (talkcontribs) 00:30, 21 September 2014

There won't be any page move until the game comes out in English at the soonest. Let's just table this for now and come back to it later. Miles (talk) 00:36, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
strong support Come on. Every single source has called her Rosalina and Luma Sonicmario22 (talk) 14:58, 21 September 2014 (EDT)

My Demo is in English,so,Olimar at my Demo is still "Olimar",but Rosalina is called "Rosalina & Luma" 189.76.179.136 15:42, 21 September 2014 (EDT)

Miles told us he would move it when the game comes out. We just have to wait until next Friday, no matter how much evidence we have. SeanWheeler (talk) 11:31, 22 September 2014 (EDT)
This is officially the stupidest thing ever. I like how it's 1000% confirmed to be Rosalina & Luma everywhere else, and one or two people are paranoid about potentially having to revert it on the wayyyyy offf chance that Luma's name is dropped, so they stop progress. Stop being a blockhead, there will be plenty more to worry about than an extra name tacked on to Rosalina's by accident on the day of release. Hell, even if I and 98% of everyone else is somehow wrong and Rosalina & Luma's name is just Rosalina, WHO IS GONNA FREAKING CARE. You're a wiki. For a video game. For god sake, you're not anywhere near the pinnacle of professionalism (And some individuals' opinion on here proves that), and a glaring, horrific error like the current name is what we EXPECT from you. Just freaking change it and stop jerking around until the last minute, dweebs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.83.77.9 (talkcontribs) 17:30, 26 September 2014 (EDT)
Please read SW:NPA, first of all. Second, the game releases in about a week. We can wait until then. Rtzxy Signature SmashBall.jpeg Smashing! 17:34, 26 September 2014 (EDT)
So people have apparently received the game early, and it still says "Rosalina & Luma". PikaSamus (talk) PikaSamus 09:30, 2 October 2014 (EDT)
Don't worry, we'll move it tomorrow. Don't want to take a risk of the possibility of them changing the name faster than what TT Games did with Jack Sparrow. Even if it's a very small possibility. Waiting for tomorrow is better than waiting weeks, right? SeanWheeler (talk) 11:16, 2 October 2014 (EDT)
You don't understand, traffic is going to explode tomorrow, when the game is officially released, and these copies are the final build of the game, there is literally a 0% chance of it changing, since they'll be he same copies being sold as the ones now, I say the mods should move it immediately before traffic explodes. Laikue (talk|contribs) 11:27, 2 October 2014 (EDT)
Don't we have enough patience for one more day? SeanWheeler (talk) 12:00, 2 October 2014 (EDT)
It ain't that, what do you not get by "traffic is going to explode tomorrow"? There is going to be a lot going on tomorrow and we already know 100% for a fact that Rosalina is known as Rosalina and Luma. There is a 0% chance it will change. The same copies that will be released tomorrow are already on sale today. They won't go sending out new copies with different names for her and even if they did, they'd be weeks from now. Laikue (talk|contribs) 13:34, 2 October 2014 (EDT)
Hmmm... Traffic will explode tomorrow? Is it really impossible to change a fighter's name now? What happened with that early copy of LEGO Pirates? How early did he get it? It's 7:04 pm where I'm at. I watched a video where someone used Rosalina in All-Star. It's close enough to October 3. I'd like the articles to follow the naming conventions. Hmm... Okay, go ahead and move it. *bangs gavel*. SeanWheeler (talk) 20:09, 2 October 2014 (EDT)

Wow, this discussion is over 41,000 bytes long...Anyway, there's no reason not to move the page now. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 13:53, 3 October 2014 (EDT)

The Game Launched today,I Think that rosalina` name is same of the demo of eshop,i will buy this later to see if the name is just "rosalina"

Whoa long convo o.o Anyway. Same name. Move it. ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching... 16:13, 3 October 2014 (EDT)

As the guy who made us wait, I now say move it now! When is Miles going to move it? It's time. SeanWheeler (talk) 16:37, 3 October 2014 (EDT)

I guess even the announcer says "Rosalina & Luma". Yep, confirmed for said title I guess. I wonder if we can move the content ourselves by copying/pasting? Dots (talk) Link OoT Dots.PNG The Non-stick 20:08, 3 October 2014 (EDT)

At 41,000+ bytes, this section alone needs to be archived. Since the page has been moved, this conversation is pretty much dead. I'm not sure if I should archive the whole page or just this section, though. I'm thinking of just archiving this section alone. Should I archive just this section or should I archive the whole page? Reveal Information is Incorrect

This is my first time doing anything like this, but Super Mario 3D World was released in November for all countries where it is available. Making the statement about her reveal coinciding with the game's release in December false. Just thought I would point that out. Thanks. Mariokartmoney 18:03, 28 August 2014 (EDT)

Original to Smash Bros.?

The last alternate costume for Luma (the silver one) states that it is "original to Smash Bros.", when it is actually from the opening scene of Super Mario Galaxy. The page is protected from editing so change it plz.

If I remember right, the one from the SMG opening is white, not silver. Aidan the Intermediate Gamer (talk) 16:45, 14 September 2014 (EDT)
